The diversity, the programs are what happening at the center, it's a great place!!

Merging the department services of P& R and TDYCC maybe one answer, but it will keep Gerry, Joe and James from playing golf everyday.

The Parks and Recreation department is a joke too!

Programs operate three months out of the year - Nothing done during the months of October to March. Oh Halloween. Cut a few lawns, one senior program, one special needs program - Separtism was created because we (caucasion) did not want to mingle.
Racism is rampant in Greenburgh -perpetualed by town board members, motivated by being re-elected.

Let's raise fees of non-residents who use our facilities at rock bottom prices, structure the programs at the Center/P&R to be self sufficient and stop doing favors for people who are supposed to pay fees.

Get it right Paul and Board members; Nov 2009, 2010 will be here before you know it - Then it's over!! smile Greenburgh taxpayersAnonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-33594888.post-77181532830091528202008-10-09T19:54:00.000-04:002008-10-09T19:54:00.000-04:00At the park today! You do!
This area pays far, far more in taxes to the state and federal governments than it receives back in services and grants. If so, may I please send you my children's lists for Santa Claus because you obviously know where to go with them.
Taxter Ridge cost taxpayers in Greenburgh the whole $10 or $12 million - unless you have a magical purse which pays the Town, the State and the Federal government from different sources, YOU paid for all of it.
TANSTAAFL!Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-33594888.post-80256012011300321192008-10-07T19:26:00.000-04:002008-10-07T19:26:00.000-04:0012:46 = "drowning puppy, baby lake"12:46 = "drowning puppy, baby lake"Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-33594888.post-2130466761767639922008-10-07T12:46:00.000-04:002008-10-07T12:46:00.000-04:00keep the dog park, get rid of the GC7 school distr...keep the dog park, get rid of the GC7 school district!
Nobody with half a brain sends there children there anyway.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-33594888.post-79438522954457493692008-10-07T10:01:00.000-04:002008-10-07T10:01:00.000-04:00If a grant is received and not used by a set date ...If a grant is received and not used by a set date it has to be returned to state.
So even if the taxpayer covers the entire cost of the park..it comes out to maybe something like .25-.50 cents per resident,if that much..its about the quality of life here in Greenburgh.A dog park makes it a better place to live for all.Don't own a dog, thats cool.Just go the park one day and see the joy of life that it brings to the dogs and owners that use it,it just may make you feel the joy of life too.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-33594888.post-57654637995354692762008-10-06T12:00:00.000-04:002008-10-06T12:00:00.000-04:00It is your understanding that the money was a gran...It is your understanding that the money was a grant.
Up until a few weeks ago I thought the same but when someone wrote here on the blog that each grant that is received we the tax payers have to match.
That is the silent way of taxing the public.
One way or another we have to pay.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-33594888.post-27937345091375371132008-10-06T11:41:00.000-04:002008-10-06T11:41:00.000-04:00to the poster "woof woof"-- to my knowledge the mo...to the poster "woof woof"-- to my knowledge the monies to create the park came from a ny state grant of $43,000.Local greemburgh/westchester tax money was not invloved..Even if it was from local tax base it would most likely come out to maybe .25 cents per resident or less...if spending .25 cents causes you to eat dog food you have many more problems than getting poor paying taxes.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-33594888.post-15170523958772526842008-10-05T14:34:00.000-04:002008-10-05T14:34:00.000-04:00wha ever happened to the skate board park over the...wha ever happened to the skate board park over there?Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-33594888.post-62608426752191762862008-10-04T21:21:00.000-04:002008-10-04T21:21:00.000-04:00How much insurance does the town have to cover the...How much insurance does the town have to cover these dog parks.
I do hope that you have enough just in case there is a good law suit concerning the dogs.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-33594888.post-40893546070511682462008-10-04T17:19:00.000-04:002008-10-04T17:19:00.000-04:00I inspected the park last week and again today..Ve...I inspected the park last week and again today..Very well though out,but I suggest placing a gate at the bottom, and top of the path that leads into the lower dog park area..This is necessary as many people may not accompany their dog to that area and will sit at or near entrance and not supervise or clean up after dog.It would also give much more control oover the area.
Also very badly needed a quick exit at the lower play area so that an aggressive animal can be quickly removed from the area without having to traverse to the top of the hill, through another play area where other dogs may be..Can be very dangerous the way it is now. There is a gate there now but it is locked by parks dept personnel. One excited ,aggressive dog can excite all the other dogs in the area and this would result in multiple fights between animals. Its all about pack mentality ,which is very strong in all breeds of dogs.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-33594888.post-34312834149152777572008-10-03T12:53:00.000-04:002008-10-03T12:53:00.000-04:00I agree it does look like all the money went to re...I agree it does look like all the money went to renovations of the parking lot rather than the dog park.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-33594888.post-53473484430266213702008-10-01T23:54:00.000-04:002008-10-01T23:54:00.000-04:00January 2008 -
