The Greenburgh Town Board approved an agreement that will result in Regeneron expanding their space in Greenburgh. At least 250 new jobs.
The Board also approved a rezone that will enable Stop & Shop to build a supermarket on Route 119 on the Greenburgh/Tarrytown border.
More jobs, more ratables, more building permit fees. Great for Greenburgh

Under a different topic, Mr. Kolesar posted a message that I am sure you have read about his estimate of the cost just to the Town of the PILOT agreement. He asked whether the Town had an analysis. Does the Town have its own analysis? When was it prepared? Why don't you respond to what seems to be fairly straightforward questions?
This is kind of behavior is NOT open, transparent government. Your actions speak much louder than your words. Will you answer this?
I'm looking forward to 250+ new job postings by the Supervisor on his blog!
250+ jobs on the blog, 250+ jobs on the blog,
if one of those jobs should happen to be filled
249+ more jobs on the blog
Notice that in this hastily written 7 A.M. release, the Supervisor eerily echoes the idiosyncratic style of a certain pity, grammatically-challenged, repeat commentator on this blog.
Just like a marching band. Straight thru.
OSI, Regeneron, Stop & Shop, Shopright.
Greenburgh is on the move.
Glad that Greenburgh is great for business.
Paul was busy leaving comments at 6pm tonight - check out his praise for the arts director at 6:01 under the next post. Paul, you know the story of Lee Siegel, The New Republic writer who was fired for writing in on blogs anonymously to praise his own work? You should google it sometime.
6:03,6:03 Paul
Yes, Business is good but what are the exact details of all the tax breaks and terms?
Paul was probably driving while writing his 6 PM comments. That is why they are short in length.
Stop breaking the law Paul.
250+ jobs coming to Greenburgh. Being a "glass full" guy, I'm hoping some if not many of those jobs will go to Greenburgh residents, if for nothing morethan proximity.
However, since Regeneron and OSI require technical expertise, and I'm sure there is no requirement in the negotiatios that requires the new businesses to hire "Greenburgh residents ONLY!," and since Greenburgh can't levy a "payroll tax," the headline for this segment and ALL other PR releases, would be more accurate if it stated "250+ opening may become available to Greenburgh residents."
Picky, picky, picky Ed. Why put a damper on a "WIN-WIN" Feiner assumed initiative?
Because, in Greenburgh, all that glitters is not gold..sometimes not even fools' gold. Exhibit #1, a 6.85% tax increase.
As a final (for this posting only) thought, what will the REAL net tax benefit be for the Town of Greenburgh generated by OSI, Regeneron, Stop and Shop and Shoprite after all the "goodies" are factored in?
Ed, I know you like to rant and complain. Regeneron and OSI are good companies. Glad that they are relocating to Greenburgh. Know some people who work for Regeneron and they reside in Greenburgh.
Txapyer, how many of the current full time Regeneron employees presently reside within the Town's limits? Specifics please, no generalities and cite your source so it may be verified.
