The DPW did a great job picking up the leaves. It would be a better idea if the home owners put the leaves in bags. Catch basins in the street are not cleaned, causing extensive street flooding not mentioning the amount of water in peoples basements, and garage's.Yes the home owners would have to pay the gardener's a few extra bucks, but the area's would be much cleaner and safer to walk .This has been proposed so many times ,but it was always turned down. We live in a beautiful area, lets try to keep it that way.
We had major construction on our street, where contractors were told to hire sweepers to clean the roadways. What has changed? Another thing, home owners are placing boulders ON TOWN PROPERTY,not to allow anyone to park in front of their homes. If someone gets hurt or an accident ,who will be sued.GREENBURGH.The boulders should be removed right away. One more complaint,,,some of roadway curbing is broken ,this should be checked ,before we start with a rainy season.
please provide me with the name of the street so I can follow up and help solve this problem. pfeiner@greenburghny.com

Why can't the Town do anything about the people who put out garbage on the wrong days? It is an eyesore, some people store their garbage by the road 7 days a week. An Example is on prospect Ave.by Fair St. They think because it's in a storage bin it's OK. I don't, I feel the laws on the books should be enforced. It's ok to give out warnings, but I dought this happens. When town employees see garbage out on the wrong days. they should educate them, make them bring it back in or fine them,
to the blogger who complained about garbage being put out on the wrong day- you should call 993 1574. Ask for Gabe, an inspector.
Paul- Does Gabe wait inside to be called or does he drive around.
Please pass on to him there are a few houses on Prospect Ave. by Fair St.that store their garbage at the curb full time. Thank You in advance, and keep up the good work!
