The NY Power Authority has a tree power program. The program is designed to help government customers improve the environment. The NYPA is offering to sell the town two kinds of trees - and will offer one free tree for every tree we purchase. For larger trees -buy one and get one at half price.
I am urging the Town to purchase trees from the NY Power Authority. For copies of the letter that I received from the NYS Power Authority please e mail me at pfeiner@greenburghny.com

Nice, but is Greenburgh eligible for this since we don't have a community-owned electric system?
Last month's press release:

I hate to sound like a broken record, but when will the Town develop and fund a maintenance plan for its new assets?
Did Greenburgh ever resolve the leaf collection drama from the Fall? If we're going to plant more trees, it would be wise to have the leaf collection operations resolved, as well.
Buy one, get one free. Popularized by Ardsley resident Tom Carvel. Somehow its sooooo fitting.
Dear Supervisor: You post blog topics, but then don't usually respond to the blog questions. There are three questions above that await your specific response. (Any many more in other topics.)
Pass a law that all leaves should be baged by the home owners. In doing so the leaves would not be all over the place.About tree planting, put up pines ,this means no leaves. What a clean town Greenburgh would be if this was realized.
