12 miles north in association with Hastings-on-Hudson Parks and Recreation Department proudly present The 3rd Annual Take Me to the River GrassRoots Music Festival celebrating local and nationally acclaimed folk, blues, jazz and rock musicians. We offer activities for kids, delicious foods and one of a kind crafts. Bring your picnic blanket, extend the summer vibe and enjoy some amazing music.
The festival features:
Performances From Multiple Acclaimed Musicians: Headlining the festival is Special Guest, John Gorka [link]. In addition, the line-up includes sets from Joe Crookston [link], Kelly Flint [link], Hope Machine [link], Matt Turk [link], Spuyten Duyvil, Milton [link], The Robert Hill Band [link], Hastings Blues Mothers [link], Riverrun [link], Boku, Walkabout Clearwater Chorus [link], Solar Punch [link] and other fine performers.
Solar Powered Second Stage: Supporting the green movement we are proud to host a second stage that is completely solar powered. Artists performing on this stage include Solar Punch, The YaYas, Lord Ward, Goods and Services, Mark Kaufman & The Brazilian Project, Zach Hart, Joe Duraes and Jeff Boyer. In addition, information about how solar power works will be presented through out the day.
Children’s Area with live performance, The Zen Tree, Giant Sling Shot, Music Tree, painting the VW Bug, Kid's Funky Flea (recycle your toys!), and a special mosaic mural hosted by artist Haifa Bint-Kadi.
Nature Tent Eco-games and more. Hosted by Sustainable Hastings and Haven Colgate.
Circle of Song an opportunity for anyone to bring an instrument or voice and share their music with other musicians.
Interactive Art Installations to be discovered all over the park.
Delicious food and drinks from Comfort, Chutney Masala, Antoinette’s, Hastings Station CafĂ©, Slices & Custom Picnic Baskets from The Hastings Farmers Market!
Local Artists bring a variety of wares to sell.
