Please - no more restaurants! East Hartsdale Avenue needs to maintain retail and service businesses in order to maintain a healthy balance for our local residents. The increase in the number of restaurants has increased the amount of garbage being left out overnight on the sidewalks. The large trucks are double parking on the avenue because there is no delivery road behind the stores on the Cheesery side of the street - at lunch time you can't get through because of this. The restaurant patrons bring nothing to avenue either. They take up our parkings spaces and most do not patronize any of the other businesses. We need a small grocer or produce store. Yes, we had one in the past but it was poorly operated and the owners were rude to their customer and their produce was old and rotten. We would use a small houseware - hardware store. We have young families who could use childrens clothing or childrens shoes. You need to work with the landlords to better market our area. NO MORE RESTAURANTS!
