VOLUNTEERS WANTED TO HELP SENIOR CITIZENS AND DISABLED RESIDENTS GET GARBAGE TO CURB
The town will be discontinuing backdoor garbage pickup because of budgetary reasons. This cut only impacts some residents-- the overwhelming majority of residents in the town have always put their garbage out at the curb. We anticipate that we will save about $400,000 a year (we were able to reduce the sanitation workforce by five employees). In 2009 all garbage pickup will be at the curb --similar to our current requirement for paper, plastic recycling).
Although most people will have no problem taking their garbage to the curb (we recommend garbage cans with wheels), some senior citizens and disabled residents have contacted me advising me of difficulties they are having.
We are contacting private carters and will be compiling a list of companies that are willing to provide back door service for a fee.
In addition -- I am trying to match up senior citizens and disabled residents with neighbors or students who will volunteer and take the garbage out from the house to the curb once or twice a week. If you are interested in helping out by reaching out to neighbors who have legitimate problems OR if you would be willing to help one or two residents out by taking their garbage out for them -- please e mail me at pfeiner@greenburghny.com or call me at 993-1545 (cell:438-1343). Volunteers will be assigned to only people who have major medical problems and need the assistance.
Thank you for your help.

Dear Seniors, disabled and other,
That 400K that we are saving has been spent of the Xposure program.
I'm sure you all will agree that it is a wise move for a very worthy cause.
Since we are paying Xposure kids a salary of approximately 187.K per year (yes, this has NOT been included in the programs budget) , maybe they can volunteer to help move your trash to the curb. I think this is a great idea.
It's never too late to teach the lesson that it is important to "give back and help those in need".
Dear Mr. Feiner -
I understand the Town is now reaping the results of your lack of financial acumen. Eighteen years of neglect and disinterest have finally come home to roost - and the results are predictable and not unexpected. Too bad you never had either the time or interest in the part of your job which made you the Town's Chief Financial Officer...
You can, however redeem a fraction of your lost halo. Instead of merely suggesting to taxpaying citizens the names of private sanitation carters who will provide service, you can close the entire Department of Public Works, forego hiring a new Department Head and accept the lowest responsible bid from a private concern to provide the service. This will save the third largest sector of the Town outside budget -and will provide you personally with access to wealth beyond your most avaricious dreams. The unparallelled opportunity to screw Town employees (why eliminate only five jobs when you can eliminate ALL of them?) is probably irresistable in itself. Coupled with the opportunity for graft, favors, kickbacks and campaign donations, privatizing garbage collection in Greenburgh is clearly the way of the future.
Think about how you will be able to brag about reducing the Town's budget and taxes by 20% (or more!) while continuing to provide social services at a nearly welfare state level. Why wait? Act now, and the taxpayers be d_mned!
So your willing to get a private concern to pick up garbage for a fee while we have been paying for this service right along.
You have some hellava nerve.
How can you save the amount of money that you say when you did not let anyone go but they were reassigned to another job at the same rate of pay..
Do you think we are stupid.?
No Paul you are the stupid one in taking away this service that we have paid for years before the fatal day that you were elected supervisor.
What about people that have no curb or live at the bottom of a hill how can they put pails up that have wheels.
You and Regula should have checked out the outline of each road before you enacted your ridiculous law.
Did you both look at the terrain.
I doubt it.
.
When the garbage is flying all over the roadways do you expect the home owners to clean the roadways too.
When rats take over will you be the one to clean up the situation.
.
You have lost your freaking mind.
Charge us extra $300.00 A YEAR for a service that we had paid for before you had the grand idea of becoming the one to ruin what many others before you planned so we could have a good life.
Your bad methods of tryng to run a town are finally coming back to haunt each home owner one way or another.
You have been robbing from peter to give to paul.
How much longer do you think that you can do this.
Your ways of trying to run the town government have failed so badly that other governments are laughing at all your ideas as to how to save money.
Yes did you check the roadways NO>
Did Regula check before he resigned two years before his due date?
We know that you have done many things without the full impact on the residents but this one is the worse.
You don't need volunteers to help the eldery or the disabled we need good volunteers to run THE TOWN OF GREENBURGH since you have failed royally.
CSEA CHARLEY is 100 percent right.
In other words get lost we don't need you.
Curbs? What curbs?! I don't even have a damn curb despite being on a waiting list for one for over 12 years!!!
Dear 12:14,
You get a new stone curb if you live at 32 North Washington Avenue and a brand new concrete sidewalk too -- even if the sidewalk goes nowhere.
Volunteers are wanted to help remove the garbage on the Town Board.

If Feiner and his cronies on the town board won't continue providing essential services to elderly and disabled taxpaying Edgemont residents, while continuing to make them pay for non-essentials like that $100K gift to Fairview Fire District and Xposure, Edgemont will. Who needs the town?
ok
edgemont and what army?
If the problem would require an "army" to solve, that would just underscore how terribly wrong it was for Feiner to tell Edgemont's elderly and disabled that despite how long they've lived in Greenburgh and all the town taxes they've paid over the years, and will continue to pay for everyone else's garbage pickup, Greenburgh won't help them. Edgemont as a community has a history of looking out for its own. Look for an Edgemont response. But once Edgemont residents start paying for their own garbage pickup, it won't take long before they realize they can start paying on their own for all their own municipal services - without having to fork over tax waste to pay for all of the town's non-essential services that Feiner refused to cut.
Feiner's garbage will continue to be collected by his gated community at his convenience.
He's out of touch - and should soon be out of office!
tell Edgemont's elderly and disabled that despite how long they've lived in Greenburgh and all the town taxes they've paid over the years, and will continue to pay for everyone else's garbage pickup, Greenburgh won't help them.
Edgemont's elderly must be a very special lot. To hell with the rest of Greenburgh's disabled!
This is exactly the type of statement that gets my skivees in a bunch.
AND the defense for such inconsiderate and selfish statements usually goes along the lines of "Edgemont pays MORE in taxes than the rest of Greenburgh so that makes it MORE horrifying to Edgemont as it is MORE unjust!
I often wonder if Edgemonters like 2:54 sit around the dinner table as complain about having to pay MORE income taxes than the rest of the slobs living in the US and having to travel the same pothole filled roadways with them.
How unjust!

The inconsiderate and selfish behavior is coming from the town board and its refusal to restore non-curbside garbage pickup. If Edgemont can help out their neighbors, good for them. Other neighborhoods should do the same.
other neighborhoods?
what other neighborhoods?
outside of edgemont and a few gated communities or perhaps a place like fulton park, most greenburgh neighborhoods are either so used to getting a handout (fairview) or being dropped down the memory hole (hartsdale) that they are just places on a map.
greenburgh is a political entity is in deep trouble. how else to explain 18 years of juettner and feiner?
greenburgh as a political entity that is - a one party mini-state.
samis yes!
if you want samis - call a meeting for a draft samis session and see what it brings
if samis can raise some money and get a core group of 15-20 volunteers who will go out for him , he can win. or better yet - run with samis. we have to get rid of the current board.
start with samis and build.
Anon at 4:11 -- Why doesn't Samis call his own meeting and see who shows up. If it's just the two of you, you'll have your answer.
samis calls a meeting at every town board get together - and its a standing ovation performance every time.
funny how anon and others complain about feiner and company yet still have no one to run.
i guess they believe things have to still get worse.
Edgemonters are not the only ones that will have to put their garbage curbside whether they have a curb or not.
Did the idiot who suggested this change check the roadways tosee who has the space or the curb to place the garbage.
No he acted blindley as he has done with all his previous project.
To boot he resigned and was rehired as a consultant to do more damage.
Paul you as the supervisor should have checked all the roads in the unincorporated area to see if it were feasable for residents to follow the new law.
BUT I guess that was too big a job for you to do.
We don't need volunteers we need a change in the law.
We pay enough for this DPW service and to take it away is a crime and it is a bigger crime to charge $300.00 per household for those that cannot abbide by the law.
Shame on you paul for accepting this law without doing a full investigation.
haha! I know someone in Edgemont who has there garbage retrieved from inside of their garage. The driveway is long, the garage is locked and the "guys" know where to kind the key.
No wonder Edgemont is upset!!
Dear Edgemont @ 2:54,
How long has the rest of Greenburgh been paying for THAT?
For every $300. collected, another needy child gets into the Xposure program.....for free.
Thank you for all of your support of this worthy program.
Forget the $300 fee for non-curbside garbage pickup. Feiner can't be bothered. He's told residents, including the elderly and disabled, to contact private carters, make their own friggin
arrangements, pay some private company whatever it costs, and quit bothering him and the rest of the town board with their petty complaints. Feiner then had a lovely chat with his colleagues about how he's got to make it appear to the public as it he's suddenly charging camp fees this summer at TDYCC, so the public will think he's being fiscally prudent, but not to worry, anyone who asks will get a free "scholarship," no questions asked, and no, the town isn't projecting to receive any camp "revenue" from doing this.
You don't believe this occurred. It's all on the work session tape. Believe it.
6:07,
Pardon me. I stand corrected. You are right. He won't collect $300 for carting, he saved $400K for not collecting trash not curbside.
Anyway, $400K represents another whole year that the Xposure program can be in place!!! YAY! Paul is so generous! You are too!
Many thanks!!
I did hear that lovely chat that took place at the work session regarding TDY camp fees.
Isn't it marvelous to have such a thoughtful Supervisor?!
He's willing to cheat and lie, straight faced, on TV!! to get those poor darlings into camp this year.
Now, I ask you, have you ever met such a caring, giving individual?
private sanitation will not pick-up building and construction material. Homeowners must make their own arrangements.
When is my garbage collected? Regular trash is picked up on either Monday & Thursdays or Tuesdays & Fridays depending on which area you live in.
All material must be placed curbside by 7:00 am
All loose material must be in plastic bags, containers or tied.
The following will not be picked up: leaves, grass, branches tied or otherwise. No stumps, no blocks, no dirt, no concrete, no plastic, no tiles
I do hope that the officials of Scarsdale have the opportunity to treat your parents in the same vein as you treat the citizens of this town
Paul remember what goes arround comes arround.
It's a crime what one will do to receive the publics votes.
You can't be a winner all the time but when you loose it will be big time.
*looks out my window and see garbage, recyclables and paper at every curb*
Why? Because we do not have schedules!!!!
PAUL WHAT HAPPENED TO YOUR PAL GARFUNKEL.
WILL HE COME BACK TO LIFE COMES ELECTION?
Your number one defender has been silent too long.
Has he smartened up?
or being dropped down the memory hole (hartsdale)
Yes. Dropped down the hole accurately describes Hartsdale. But wait!
Governor Paterson's proposed budget for the 2009-2010 state fiscal year slashes funding to Catholic and other religious and independent schools. The governor proposes cutting the state's Mandated Services Reimbursement program (MSR) in these schools by $62 million dollars (a 44 percent reduction). Specifically, the governor proposes eliminating the Comprehensive Attendance Program (CAP) along with $55 million in CAP reimbursement to religious and independent schools while maintaining the program for public schools. This important program is intended to ensure that students are safe and in school where they belong.
The governor also proposes wiping away millions of dollars of debt the state owes our schools for our compliance with this program in prior years. He also rejects the 34-year standard of paying 100 percent of expenses for programs that the state mandates on our schools (such as test prep, test taking, data collection, etc.). While Gov. Paterson is proposing drastic cuts to our schools, he is still proposing a $1.1 billion increase to public schools. Although the increase is less than what public schools expected, it's sill a significant increase.
Me thinks Hartsdale, with its staggering number of children attending private schools, will be looking very, very closely at every penny as they will be shelling out more and more (tuition's and taxes)for less and less.
Hartsdale didn't just get dropped into a memory hole, it's going to be wiped off of the map.
Year 2020. The post office on Central Ave is now called the Edgemont/Greenburgh Annex. Metro North has updated all signage to reflect the newly named "Greenburgh Station" Greenburgh Central School District has been taken over NY State as it cannot function adequately due to the enormous influx of children enrolling. Housing prices continue to plummet disportionately to the rest of Westchester Country and the average size HH has risen to 6.5. Income levels per HH fall 40%. The Town of Greenburgh has declared bankruptcy and Supervisor Paul Feiner continues to lobby for funds to feed, shelter and provide free services to the increasingly needy. Supervisor Feiner blames Edgemont for Greenburghs problems citing Edgemont's incorporation. " We just could not recover from the loss of tax revenue. Edgemont is to blame." Paul Feiner, formally from Edgemont, now resides in Ardsley Village.
Hal,
Are you aware of the fact that one of your favorite people, Al Regula was led away in HANDCUFFS at the onset of the Trash For Cash Scandal???? Unfortunately for us all, he was never criminally charged. Here was Al's scam: Al had several dumpsters set up on Central Avenue that the TOWN was supposed to collect fees for picking up. Instead, Al had the Town Garbage trucks pick up the garbage but POCKETED THE MONEY himself!!!!! Why don't you ask Al how he got that new Harley Davidson from Reggie Pink during his Trash For Cash days. Chief Kapica became aware of it and had Al picked up for it. Feiner is also aware of this. As stated before, Regula was not charged. Feiner allowed Regula to select the individual who "investigated" the Trash For Cash scandal instead of keeping it a Police matter because he feared the political repercussions.
Wouldn't this be a GREAT campaign issue against Feiner this year???
Why don't you set about documenting it with your inside Town Hall connections.
feiner is originally from scarsdale.
he moved to dobbs ferry briefly and now lives in bounder ridge which is a gated community in unincorporated greenburgh but in the ardsley school district.
last i checked, feiner's passport was stamped "entry into edgemont prohibited."
as for edgemont incorporation - its a nice idea but a total fantasy especially in these hard economic times (the facts of which are oblivious to feiner, sheehan and the rest of the town board gang).
By the way 9:40 you didn't mention the large screen tv.
And to think that Feiner kept him on for all these years and now gives him the position as a consultant at the rate of $90.00 an hour.
Jack & Jill went up their hill
to fetch their pails of garbage
Jack fell down and broke his crown
And Jill sued the town for big bucks after
The suggestion that Edgemont's incorporation is a total fantasy in these hard economic times overlooks the fact that town taxes for Edgemont residents have increased over the past two years by 31%, which for most Edgemont residents, means an increase of well over $1,000. Village residents in Greenburgh have experienced no such increase. Edgemont's incorporation may therefore be in Edgemont's financial interest because of the current economic hard times precisely because Edgemont may not wish to continue funding wasteful town expenditures like Xposure at the same time that essential services are being cut.
If Edgemont can get a good deal outsourcing trash pickup for those who need it, Edgemont may be able to show that it can get a better deal for itself if all or most of its municipal services were likewise outsourced. And if Feiner threatens to prevent Edgemont from using town amenities, like he did a few years ago, Edgemont will be able to use it economic muscle to cut deals with other public and/or private entities that would be more than willing to accept Edgemont's tax dollars if Greenburgh won't.
if you read the white paper on incorporation, the upfront costs to start are quite high.
another thing is that edgemonters would have no right to use either veteran park or the abililty to park near the train station.
can you really outsource every municipal service?
further incorporation is antithetical to the shared services (or lets merge) thinking now prevalent.
might it be better for edgemont to seek relief from feinerstan by joining with an existing village such as ardsley? that would certainly give it more clout to negotiate terms with its former colonial master without incurring all the expenses of leasing or buying space for municipal purposes.
not to be cliche - but its time for edgemont to consider thinking outside the greenburgh box in a different way.
3:50
1. Veterans Park is in need of expensive repairs -- who will pay for it.
2. Scarsdale has extra parking for everyone who wants.
Edgemont's white paper on incorporation made a series of very conservative assumptions about costs, including costs to purchase its own village hall which, with all the available office space for lease these days, it doesn't need. What's more, even with these conservative assumptions, the increased cost turns out to have been LESS than the average increase for Edgemont residents in Greenburgh town taxes over the past two years.
As for "joining" with a neighboring village such as Ardsley, I am sure that Edgemont's leaders will explore all economically viable options, but the thing to remember is that once incorporated, Edgemont would have the freedom to obtain services from the lowest cost provider, which may or may not be the Village of Ardsley.
As for access to Veteran Park, Greenburgh would have to realize that Edgemont residents provide the single largest source of revenue for that facility. If at a time when the Town needs to renovate the pools there, the Town is willing to cut its nose to spite its face, and refuse access (assuming it could legally do so), and stop the flow of Edgemont funds to support that facility, there may be a number of other recreation options available to Edgemont residents including in Edgemont proper if needed to support Edgemont's summer camp.
Remember, except for a few disgruntled Ardsley residents, the Village of Ardsley has managed to do quite well without access to Veterans.
The same goes for parking at the Hartsdale train station. As the white paper points out, Edgemont has certain rights to parking there, which would be the subject of negotiation, but as with the pool, Edgemont represents the greatest single source of revenue. Also, there's now available space in Scarsdale and given the demand for space in Hartsdale from Scarsdale residents, it might be even be profitable for Edgemont to build its own parking facility, perhaps jointly with Scarsdale.
The White Paper grossly underestimated the cost of property on or near Central Avenue for the new Edgemont Town Hall. The start up costs will realisticly be far higher than the White Paper suggests.
question - does anyone know why in 1967 when there was a vote for edgemont incorporation, it was defeated 3 to 1?
for those who have not read the paper - here is a sample of whats in store for any new village:
• Transition Expenses Start-up and transition expenses as the village builds facilities and
reserves. These are treated separately. However, these are real expenses which will increase
taxes in early years.
• Parks and Recreations The resolution of how the Town will re-allocate the TOV budgets
Parks and Recreation expenses as a result of the Taxter Ridge lawsuit is uncertain and will
affect the village economics.
• Unincorporated Debt and Public Works Supplied by Greenburgh The amount of debt
service the new village would be liable to pay with respect to existing unincorporated
Greenburgh debt is uncertain; the amount would be subject to negotiation based on pro-rata
share. The availability and cost of continued public works services will also depend upon the
outcome of negotiations.
If Edgemont wanted to lease a village hall, there's plenty of empty office space in Edgemont on Central Avenue and at the corner of Clubway and East Hartsdale Ave that it could lease for a song right now.
Anyone know when the Bernstein parks litigation will be decided?
and the landlord would just fix it up and furnish it too? long term leases that may be required in such a case are rarely entered into by municipalities. there also has to be adequate parking for such purposes too.
the bernstein case is being argued in the court of appeals on january 13 at 2 pm
word is that the si is sending a reporter to albany to cover the appeal.
expect a decision by the end of next month.
Dear Seniors,
I do not care if you can not get your trash to the curb. Yes, I take your money and give it away to those in Fairview. Heck Fairview is saving money because most live in apartments and it costs less to pick up garbage there. They won't have to worry about getting it to the curb either! The super will take it out for them. Isn't that great? See? Fairview saves us money and I give it back. 10 fold. Your money!
Tell ya what. I'll say "snow angles, volunteer, medical conditions, private carting until you seniors all go "UNCLE" Well, at least I'll try to say it.
I figure you'll all be gone in a few more years so I won't need your votes anymore. But hey, thanks for the good times.
xoxoxo
Paul
ps be careful on those steep driveways. You know, you could break a hip or something.
From the Chief of Police in response to 1/8---9:40 PM
Paul: I believe you should post this as my direct response to the allegations.
I personally directed the "Cash for Trash" investigation, which was exclusively undertaken by members of the Greenburgh Police Department in conjunction with the Office of the District Attorney. Commissioner Regula was never, "led away in HANDCUFFS" as alleged in the entry. No connection whatsoever was established between the commissioner and the illegal activity. In fact, his cooperation was instrumental in bringing the matter to a successful conclusion. The investigation revealed that some Sanitation workers were picking up trash from commercial establishments for cash payment and that a supervisor in the department had an arrangement with several private contractors who would pay him to dump their construction waste in a dumpster that was secreted in a wooded area within the township. When filled, the dumpster would be unloaded by Sanitation workers at the County transfer site. The Town would then be charged the tipping fee. The Sanitation supervisor was arrested and after the District Attorney indicated that it would be more appropriate to take administrative action against the other involved personnel, a number of Sanitation workers were disciplined by the Town for their complicity in these activities. At the time the investigation broke, Supervisor Feiner was out of Town on vacation. He had nothing whatsoever to do with the manner in which the investigation was conducted or the direction it took. Chief John Kapica
Chief,
Somehow you can find the time to write this AND WE STILL DONT HAVE A REPORT ON NO-SHOW JOBS AT TDYCC.
NO HEARINGS ON NEW POLICE COMMISSIONER UNTIL THAT REPORT IS OUT.
At the time the investigation broke, Supervisor Feiner was out of Town on vacation. He had nothing whatsoever to do with the manner in which the investigation was conducted or the direction it took.
What? Why is this tidbit even mentioned?
How long was Paul on vacation? One week? Did it really only take one week to investigate all parties involved, collect all information and process it to determine what charges should be brought?
I can not believe what's going on here!
I taped the last work session and could no believe what I was watching.
Those poor seniors! How in Gods are we letting this board get away with this?
Next topic at session, camp fees. Has Robbinson be reappointed to TDYCC? If so, hasn't his salary been added to the TDYCC's budget?
What kind of phony display at an attempt to collect camp fees was this? Carter " It will look like I got here and implemented these changes. It looks bad for my credibility" "I'd like to the the (phony) increase spread out over a 5 year period"
One board member (Morgan?) had the good sense to point out the TDYCC camp fees included free transportation, lunch and extended hours. Those facts were glossed over pretty fast.
Brown looked very stressed and yes, she made the remarks several times about not wanting to make it look like it was becoming a Parks & Rec camp. WTH? Ms. Brown, what do you mean?
Also, when determining a "base" fee for TDYCC camp, "We're not locked in right?"
What is going on here? what display of nonsense is this? You steal right before our very eyes!
I'm completely outraged!
We have paid for nonresidents to attend camp for all of these years and payback is NOW we're out of money so we'll take your essential services?!
Paul! How do you sleep at night? SENIORS! Disabled! Not only is it physically challenging for them but change presents emotional challenges for them. you can't just babble on about volunteers as if this solves the problem. Shame on you!
You're so big on organizing volunteers (NOT) why don't you get some volunteers to work the TDYCC? I've never heard that suggestion. Doesn't any family that partakes in the FREE services give back? Why not?
My child's HS school gives out scholarships for those how have financial hardships. Those children MUST WORK in the school office a minimum of 5 hours a week to GIVE BACK. Are the people of Fairview so extra, extra special that they are not expected to give back? why?
What's wrong with you? I really think you have lost your mind completely. This is how you repay the generosity of the people of Greenburgh? yes, generosity! We have been willingly supporting the center for all of its good for years.
You're Greenburghs version of Jim Baker!
This is an absolute abuse of power. It warrants a full investigation of were the tax payers money has gone and were it's going now.
I'm stunned. I almost can't believe that this is reality it's so completely UNBELIEVEABLE.
Someone slap me! This must be a bad dream!
None of what's been going on with TDY makes sense...... or maybe it does. Paul’s attempt to make it appear as if he's being fair only drew attention to just how flagrant the misuse of money has been. His attempt to deceive only sheds light on the widespread abuse. Not that it matters though, unless, someone were to pursue getting state officials involved.
Thank you, Chief Kapica, for following through on this long-standing, well-known corruption.
The proposed camp fee referendum was completely devoid of any guideline setting of eligibilities for "scholarships". I need to re-watch the meeting again but it looked like a non-resident fee was set yet Elmsford kids can be still eligible for "scholarships"
It's all pretty fascinating. Lot's of conversation, changes yet nothing at all was changed. NOTHING.
Clearly the knowledge that we know the true does not seem to faze Paul or the council.
I'm almost starting to believe that they want us to chew on these little transgressions to avoid us from looking and the most scandalous practices yet to be uncovered.
So Juettner says that it will cost the town more money because many would want the same service of garbage pickup that a few homes had throughout the years..
Where the hell were you before you voted yes on this law.
Did you check how some of the driveways are in many of the areas.
Did you check if the homes had the necessary property on the roadway to place the garbage.
Did any one of you do your homework before you followed through NO. that's the problem here in this town not one of you ever takes the time to study before hand what inpact your decisions have on the residents.
Thank god that we do have a recourse come the next election.
Maybe it would be a good idea if we could impeach the supervisor and two council member and not wait till next year..
still wondering
if edgemont incorporation is so viable why was it defeated 3:1 in 1967?
I've heard that many in EDGMT back in 1967 were completely put off by the movement because they understood the movement was an attempt to form an elitist environment. It would have to come at great cost and remember, this was in the 60's. peace love, togetherness prevailed back then.
The same propels today's movement. Costs to do so are still undesirable, motive the same but the difference is that this is 2009. Peace, love, togetherness does not prevail. Supporters cite unjust expenses, disportionate lack of services..... skewed to EDGMT as a reason. They incite other Edgemonters into a frenzy of believing that they have been singled out. Disportionately, unjustly.
If you hear today's arguments you will find behind lots of words a complete disdain for other TOV'ers, and they would love nothing more to be disassociated from them.
Just the mere mention of a conjoined effort with Hartsdale sends these inciters into a frenzy.
Make what you want of it all. I can't say I blame Edgemont for wanting to break away, I just don't like their underlying motives.
what an ass that jerk is that said al regula has a new motor cycle for his info all his bikes are older than the writer of the bull chit he wrote in his stupid comment's 01/08/09 @ 9:40 am what an ass
Anon at 10:24: Are you aware that an Edgemont lawyer has been fighting for the past five years or so on behalf of all TOV'ers, including Hartsdale, for the right to have all town parks and rec facilities that are available for use by all town residents, including residents of the villages, paid for by all town residents, instead of only by unincorporated Greenburgh? Are you aware that if this Edgemont lawyer succeeds, your town taxes would go down? And that if he succeeds, the town may have the money to pay for some of the essential services that the town has cut from its 2009 budget? Before you put down Edgemont residents for looking out only for themselves, you might look in the mirror and ask yourself what you and your neighbors in Hartsdale have done to help this Edgemont lawyer, who is fighting to reduce your town taxes?
Dear 11:29,
That same lawyer, along with many others in Edgemont, have been supportive of the Fulton Park people in their struggle to have the Town respect its own zoning laws.
and the town board (feiner juettner and sheehan) have been fighting this edgemont lawyer (btw - his name is bob bernstein)for years to justify their unfair taxation policies.
feiner sheehan and juettner voted to appeal the lower court decision that said taxter ridge has to be paid by all town taxpayers not just unincorporated.
while the appellate court reversed the decision for confused and imprecise reasons- bernstein took the appeal to the court of appeals in albany and the case will be heard on january 13.
juettner and feiner initial mistake was agreeing to purchase taxter ridge from the moonies in the first place.
they and sheehan have to go in 2009
according to the scarsdale inquirer - the edgemont community council passed a resolution demanding the town board rescind its vote in favor of westhab.
now we need maria gomez of fulton park to run for office.
I'm all aboard with the lawyer from Edgemont but I can say that there is no love lost between Hartsdale & Edgemont by some of the ramblings here.
hartsdale is sinking fast. the rest of the tov are just names on a google map. (after all - what is boulder ridge where feiner lives?
i dont blame edgemont for wanting to go on its own and get out of feinerstan. the problem is its too expensive with too many unknowns.
better idea is to merge with an existing village.
harsdale is a hamlet. a post office address. a train station.
its residents have left the school district. it has no leaders. it has no political representatives.
hartsdale is not very much.
PS despite 12:02
GO BOB
hartsdale is sinking fast hartsdale is not very much
Well hello Edgemont! Meet your new, soon to be stinking, not very much now but soon to be more hellish, neighbor, Hartsdale!
some have said hartsdale is becoming like the port chester
not sure if this is the old or the new port chester
it is interesting that rye brook left port chester to become a new village in 1982 - the last of the villages in westchester.
Interesting.
I do believe that Hartsdale has a chance of becoming Portchester like. It will take a while but all signs indicate that it's heading in that direction. If this happens, it will not be good for Greenburgh TOV or Villages. Much has to do with the Catholic & private schools and the problems they are experiencing. Just yesterday, the state ripped the rug out form under them and reneged on promised money. It's a huge hit.
As you know, the majority of Hartsdale children attend private schools. Hartsdale is middle class. many are struggling to make ends meet.
I've gotten 3 emails today from parents a bit freaked out.
We will see. It does not look good at all.
Oh and regarding the original topic:
Way to go Paul!
Dear Leavy,
I may be wrong, but I am not aware of any law preventing G7 from providing various services to private school students. Just becasue the state wont pay, doesnt mean it cant and shouldnt be done.
RUN FOR THE BOARD.
1:04,
GC must provide certain minimums of services and materials to all private schools that have any GC children enrolled. Rest assured that GC only provides the minimums, except for busing, and that too becomes an issue with every GC school budget vote.
I will be looking further into what more, if anything, can be expected from GC but I'm not holding my breath.
I have given thought to running in the past but at this point in time, I have no interest in running for school board. All things Greenburgh will be very interesting in 2009. You never know........
hartsdale has become the town's dumping ground - see that hideous wall in front of presser park (which has also gone to seed)
and enjoy that hulking orange halloween store.....
and lets not forget the mystery flood of the downtown area.
and the cybermobile that got free parking.
politically speaking, hartsdale is one sad place.
no leaders. no community. no allegiance to the local school. sinking faster and faster.
lets face it - hartsdale is nothing more than a place to sleep
lets face it - hartsdale is nothing more than a place to sleep
wow! what's with all of the Hartsdale bashing? i mean, Hartsdale is no great shakes but, haha
do you live in Hartsdale? if so, you need to move pronto. you're beginning to sound depressed and slightly insane.
The Hartsdale basher is that same kooky guy from Ardsley who blames Diana Juetter, an Ardsley resident, for not using her position on the town board to get Ardsley into the pool at Veteran Park. His name's Gary and he blogs all the time on the Ardsley chatline. Someone's put it into his head that opposition from Hartsdale is the reason Ardsley isn't allowed to use Veteran Park pool. He feels that Ardsley shouldn't have to pay what everyone else in unincorporated has to pay for Greenburgh's parks because he only wants to pay for the pool and all the other town parks he gets to use for free. He doesn't understand why no one's buying what he's selling.
Ahhhhhhh! Thanks 4:23.
So, he is insane! Gottcha.
Hand me down my walkin’ cane

Whaaaaa???? Whatcho talkin' bout Willis?
its more than obvious juettner is a disaster
that ardsley guy is right
in fact he is not alone - the ecc president called for her removal too!!
in two years of the blog not one person has said found a single accomplishment of juettner in 18 years.
in the interim, she was the town board liaison to the library - a huge fiasco thats still unfolding
she recently voted to for westhab.
she votes with feiner 100% on a budget loaded with waste
the sooner she is off the board the better.
Dear Juttnet/Hartsdale stalker,
STFU already and go take your meds!
juettner has helped destroy hartsdale. she voted for that hideous wall that ruined presser park (the last stretch of open space on central avenue between yonkers and white plains).
anyone but juettner.
juettner stabbed greenawalt in the back 4 years ago - that was the best chance to get rid of feiner.
now he is supervisor for life.
and to think he ran on a term limits platform when he first sought the supervisor position.
these two have been in office since 1991 - 18 years is enough.
hey anon
you like juettner - feel free to vote for her.
but tell me - what has she done to merit re-election?
its a small mind that has to use curse words. perhaps you are a graduate of cental 7

An Internet troll, or simply troll in Internet slang, is someone who posts controversial, inflammatory, irrelevant or off-topic messages in an online community, such as an online discussion forum or chat room, with the intention of provoking other users into an emotional response[1] or to generally disrupt normal on-topic discussion.[2]

[edit] Etymology
Artist's conception of tuna trolling operation in fishing. The contemporary use of the term is alleged to have first appeared on the internet in the late 1980s[3], but the earliest known example is from 1991[4]. It is thought to be a truncation of the phrase trolling for suckers, itself derived from the fishing technique of slowly dragging a bait through water, known as trolling.[5] The word also evokes the trolls portrayed in Scandinavian folklore and children's tales as they are often obnoxious creatures bent on mischief and wickedness. The verb "troll" originates from Old French "troller", a hunting term. The noun "troll", however, is an unrelated Old Norse word for a giant or demon. [6]
[edit] Early history
Prior to DejaNews's archiving of Usenet, accounts of trolling were sketchy, there being little evidence to sort through. After that time, however, the huge archives were available for researchers. The most likely derivation of the word troll can be found in the phrase "trolling for newbies," popularized in the early 1990s in the Usenet group, alt.folklore.urban (AFU).[7][8] Commonly, what is meant is a relatively gentle inside joke by veteran users, presenting questions or topics that had been so overdone that only a new user would respond to them earnestly. For example, a veteran of the group might make a post on the common misconception that glass flows over time. Long-time readers would both recognize the poster's name and know that the topic had been done to death already, but new subscribers to the group would not realise, and would thus respond. These types of trolls served as a Shibboleth to identify group insiders. This definition of trolling, considerably narrower than the modern understanding of the term, was considered a positive contribution.[9][7] One of the most notorious AFU trollers, Snopes,[7] went on to create his eponymous urban folklore website.
By the late 1990s, alt.folklore.urban had such heavy traffic and participation that trolling of this sort was frowned upon. Others expanded the term to include the practice of playing a seriously misinformed or deluded user, even in newsgroups where one was not a regular; these were often attempts at humor rather than provocation. In such contexts, the noun troll usually referred to an act of trolling, rather than to the author.
[edit] Identity trolling
In academic literature, the practice was first documented by Judith Donath (1999), who used several anecdotal examples from various Usenet newsgroups in her discussion. Donath's paper outlines the ambiguity of identity in a disembodied "virtual community":[10]
In the physical world there is an inherent unity to the self, for the body provides a compelling and convenient definition of identity. The norm is: one body, one identity. ... The virtual world is different. It is composed of information rather than matter.
Donath provides a concise overview of identity deception games which trade on the confusion between physical and epistemic community:
Trolling is a game about identity deception, albeit one that is played without the consent of most of the players. The troll attempts to pass as a legitimate participant, sharing the group's common interests and concerns; the newsgroups members, if they are cognizant of trolls and other identity deceptions, attempt to both distinguish real from trolling postings, and upon judging a poster a troll, make the offending poster leave the group. Their success at the former depends on how well they — and the troll — understand identity cues; their success at the latter depends on whether the troll's enjoyment is sufficiently diminished or outweighed by the costs imposed by the group.
Trolls can be costly in several ways. A troll can disrupt the discussion on a newsgroup, disseminate bad advice, and damage the feeling of trust in the newsgroup community. Furthermore, in a group that has become sensitized to trolling — where the rate of deception is high — many honestly naïve questions may be quickly rejected as trollings. This can be quite off-putting to the new user who upon venturing a first posting is immediately bombarded with angry accusations. Even if the accusation is unfounded, being branded a troll is quite damaging to one's online reputation." (Donath, 1999, p. 45)[1]
[edit] Usage
Application of the term troll is highly subjective. Some readers may characterize a post as trolling, while others may regard the same post as a legitimate contribution to the discussion, even if controversial. The term is often used to discredit an opposing position, or its proponent, by argument fallacy ad hominem.
Often, calling someone a troll makes assumptions about a writer's motives. Regardless of the circumstances, controversial posts may attract a particularly strong response from those unfamiliar with the robust dialogue found in some online, rather than physical, communities. Experienced participants in online forums know that the most effective way to discourage a troll is usually to ignore him or her, because responding tends to encourage trolls to continue disruptive posts — hence the often-seen warning: "Please do not feed the trolls".[11]
Frequently, someone who has been labelled a troll by a group may seek to redeem their reputation by discrediting their opponents, for example by claiming that other members of the group are closed-minded, conspirators, or trolls themselves.
[edit] Concern troll
A concern troll is a false flag pseudonym created by a user whose actual point of view is opposed to the one that the user's sockpuppet claims to hold. The concern troll posts in web forums devoted to its declared point of view and attempts to sway the group's actions or opinions while claiming to share their goals, but with professed "concerns". The goal is to sow fear, uncertainty and doubt within the group.[12]
For example, in 2006 Tad Furtado, a top staffer for then-Congressman Charlie Bass (R-NH), was caught posing as a "concerned" supporter of Bass's opponent, Democrat Paul Hodes, on several liberal New Hampshire blogs, using the pseudonyms "IndieNH" or "IndyNH." "IndyNH" expressed concern that Democrats might just be wasting their time or money on Hodes, because Bass was unbeatable.[13]
A recently declassified World War II manual on sabotage recommends such techniques to derail any effective action: "Advocate 'caution.' Be 'reasonable' and urge your fellow-conferees to be 'reasonable' and avoid haste which might result in embarrassments or difficulties later on... Be worried about the propriety of any decision — raise the question of whether such action as is contemplated lies within the jurisdiction of the group or whether it might conflict with the policy of some higher echelon." [14]
Although the term "concern troll" originated in discussions of online behavior, it now sees increasing use to describe similar behaviors that take place offline.
For example, James Wolcott in Vanity Fair[15] accused a conservative New York Daily News columnist of "concern troll" behavior in his efforts to downplay the Mark Foley scandal. Wolcott links what he calls concern trolls to Saul Alinsky's "Do-Nothings," giving a long quote from Alinsky on the Do-Nothing's method and effects:
These Do-Nothings profess a commitment to social change for ideals of justice, equality, and opportunity, and then abstain from and discourage all effective action for change. They are known by their brand, 'I agree with your ends but not your means.'
In a more recent example, The Hill published an op-ed piece titled "Dems: Ignore 'Concern Trolls'." Again, the concern trolls in question were not Internet participants; they were Republicans offering public advice and warnings to the Democrats. The author defines "concern trolling" as "offering a poisoned apple in the form of advice to political opponents that, if taken, would harm the recipient."[16]

Paul the Feiner is an equal opportunity SCREWER.
First he comes up with a monumental "cut" of approximtely $400,000, by mandating curbside pickup ( in a town with very few curbs.) Inso doing, he punishes the elderly, disabled or handicapped.
But wait good townfolk, "Robin Hoodwink," like other false super heroes, finesses that blunder by asking the other younger, healthier taxpayers to "volunteer" to bring to the "make believe" curbside the garbage, recyclables and other things for sanitation to pick up.
Now the "screwing of the elderly is, in his tiny mind, ameliorated.
The man is a genius...if there are any volunteers.
In his "mathematical mind" 1+1= 11.
I know there's no one out there announcing his/her candidacy for the supervisor's position. But, we can no longer live under this MORON's whims...and that of his "merry men+one.
If you have an IQ in triple digits, live in Greenburgh, know (without coaching) 1+1=2, are honest, and are seeking a job that pays over $`125,000/year, you will have the support of all sane people in the TOV and the villages.
Come forward. There is no age requirement (we are and have been led by a child for 18 years), no ethnic, religious, racial, sexual persuation, or any other restriction. Come forward, PLEASE!!!!

If I understand your long winded definition of Troll(internet), aren't you and your posting that of a Troll?
What is your point? I'm not being facetious, just curious. Hell, it would have taken me well over an hour to type your posting.
So, what is the purpose?
Ed,
Paul is not an equal opportunity screwer.
I still can't believe that he has done this.
Watching the meeting I can't get over how arrogant & disrespectful Paul was to those poor women "I offered volunteers, you said you don't want them!" "What's next on the agenda?!"
and up comes Carter and they sit and discuss scamming us with some pretend BS. Using "Gerry's #'s" because the money that TDY spends per kid on camp can't be uttered! Guess why?
When Paul suggests volunteers from TDY to help haul trash, Brown pipes up with liability issues. "just sayin'" READ BETWEEN THE LINES. take, take no give back.
KARMA baby,KARMA
At the work sessions Carter spoke and Jerry Byrne looked like a bobble head doll that bobbled his head at all the lies that were being told.
Sonya thank you for stating the liability associated with getting angels to bring garbage to no curb sides.
Paul was a disgrace in what he said at this session.
He will not be saving money by doing this it will cost him more.
Does he think that I will be cleaning the roadway by my home when garbage is all over the place.
Our roadways will look just as bad as central ave.
This is what he wants not only has he been taking our money and spending it foolishly but now he wants the areas to loose their values .
What's coming next Paul.
and who is the town board liaison to greenburgh (unincorporated division) ?
none other than village resident diana the sphinx juettner.
this is wrong. but unincorporated including edgemont still voted for her.
hope you are enjoying that wall in front of presser park and the fact that the tdycc is costing you 4 million dollars because juettner cannot stand up to feiner or sonya brown.
UT OH! Somebody let crazy Gary from Ardsley out of his cell again tonight.
I think he's secretly in love with Diana.
Come on Gary. Aren't you? Just a wee bit?
ed
please educate these bozos about what juettner is all about.
thx
juettner voted for about 30% in increases over the past two years - now we see at the work session despite this seniors and 40 plus year residents of greenburgh are suffering.
juettner still being in office is no joke. she is the source of so much misery and decay in the town.
laugh all you want. greenburgh is dying.
SORRY TO BREAK THE SAD NEWS BUT GREENBURGH HAS BEEN DYING FOR EIGHTEEN YEARS AND NOW IT'S BEING BURIED.
keep it up till juettner is run out of town.
lets hope she drags sheehan along with her.
interesting - 18 years - thats the period feiner and juettner have been in office.
pAUL ,you never answered the blogger who wanted to know why did Regula purchase the small garbage trucks and where are they now.
Madelon was correct about the sanitation men who not only pick up our garbage by our garage they also check to see if we are ok.
If the garbage is not placed outside they ring to check if everything is ok or maybe I just forgot what day it was.
Yes Paul you and the board took away another safety measure that we experienced all these years.
You say that this will save you a little less than a half million dollars why did you not retrieve the money owed to you by the Fairview housing authority which added up to the same amount.
Oh well Paul that's in Fairview let's forget about it.
That's the way you have been ruining this town oh I ment running this town.
feiner sheehan and juettner voted for this change and the seniors be damned
these three munchkins are up for re-election in 2009
but civic organizations keep searching for perfect candidates. krauss is begging for someone to come forward.
time to wake up and support samis.
samis is the true antidote to feiner juettner and sheehan.
Dear Ed -
Both you and Hal Samis have correctly pointed out numerous issues which are governance, not political, concerns. You have both reminded us that these issues are solvable by a Town leadership which puts honesty and good government ahead of all other goals. You have exhorted us to vote the current crop of "leaders" out of office - and both of you have decried the failure of good candidates to step forward.
And you both (along with many others who prefer to be anonymous) have been right - over and over and over again.
But, you have missed an essential point. The campaign to become a member of the Town Board, let alone the Supervisor, represents a major obstacle to overcome.
As you have pointed out, the real election is the Democratic party primary which is held in September. The process of getting recognized as a candidate requires carrying petitions and obtaining the requisite number of signatures - a task which is time-consuming and soul deadening. Then one must convince the party leadership that one is the right candidate - Mr. Greenawalt lost out to Ms. Berger not because he was a bad candidate, but rather because the party leadership felt she was a "better" choice. But merely securing the nod of theParty leadership isn't enough. Feiner just sat on the sidelines and waited - because once the "official" nomination was secured, he knew that the organization necessary to win the primary election was controlled by his supporters. Berger ran straight into the Feiner buzzsaw and hasn't been seen or heard of since.
As for running on the Republican line in the general election in November - forget about it. There really isn't an effective opposition party in Greenburgh.
It is the completely distasteful nature of the campaign, with its unanswerable lies, distortions and scorched earth attacks, which causes otherwise good people to step back and allow the current officeholders to continue. No one with the requisite character to govern temperately can survive a campaign which is designed to polarize views and force moderates into immoderate positions.
Until, and unless, Feiner and friends commit an act so egregious that the distaste for the act overcomes the distaste for a campaign, no one will come forward.
Tyranny is alive and well in Greenburgh, and likely to remain so.
9:17
Hear hear!
The big mistake was that Berger was backed instead of Greenawalt. She was clearly not the better choice. How and why this happened needs to be explored.
I applaud Edgemont for its vigilant attention to town issues. Unfortunately, I think people outside of Edgemont were afraid to vote Berger as in minds of "others" she represented Edgemont. Not that this is a bad thing but "others" are very afraid of Edgemonts incorporation and reluctantly voted for Feiner. I understand their fear.
Personally, I didn't believe that Berger would have made a good supervisor and next time we need to get it right.
I look forward to 2009 in the hopes of getting it right.
Along with Ed I cry out "Who will step forward?" I know someone is out there. I know we can be victorious in 2009!
Let's start the new year unified in a quest to make great changes for Greenburgh!
journey of a 1000 miles begins with one step
first step - draft samis
I love the graphic on this post topic. It fits so well. Stinks like garbage!
Paul,
In 1995 you came to Edgemont and spoke one evening in the library at Greenville School. It was a snowy winter, like this one, and the discussion turned to plowing and sanding, and from there to garbage collection. In response to a question from Helen Steinman you PROMISED that the Town would NEVER EVER require residents to move their garbage cans to curbside. You suggested that the rumor the Town would do so was planted by a nefarious agent of the Republican Party which recommended privatizing many government services as a way to reduce spending and cut taxes, and simply wasn't true.
If, as you have repeatedly stated about giving Greenburgh money to the Valhalla schools, "A promise is a promise", then why have you so callously tossed aside the promise to Helen Steinman?
Promises, Promises
Why not email your point to Paul directly. Get in on the record
He can and does chose to ignore what he wants to on his blog
the promise to the valhalla schools was an illegal promise.
an illegal promise cannot be honored esp by the town board.
wonder what part of that juettner sheehan and feiner dont seem to get.
To the Editor:
I read with interest your Jan. 1 front-page article about Chief Justice William H. Rehnquist's criticism of the Senate for failing to move quickly on judicial appointments.
It's obvious that the judicial appointment procedure has become the victim of partisan political squabbles. A constitutional change is needed to end lifetime tenure on the Federal courts.
Judges should be appointed to a fixed term of office. In New York State judges are appointed or elected to a term of office and the nontenure system works.
If all Federal judges served for, say, 14 years rather than for life, there would be less reason for the United States Senate to obstruct the appointment process. Judges would also be more accountable to the people.
PAUL FEINER
Elmsford, N.Y., Jan. 3, 1998
Paul the same goes for town supervisors.
I have a question Paul are you going to pick up the day laborers that stand on street corners to be your town garbage angles.
Where will you be getting them from.
Dumb law enacted by the dumbest people on earth The outgoing so called best commissioner, supervisor and above all the board who should be replaced one by one.
Quoting $300.00 extra a year for side of the house garbage pickups is considered double billing for services that we have had and entitled to with the taxes that are satisfied for public works.
I have contacted the county, and the state concerning this latest illegal activity happening here in Greenburgh.
What again what are they doing now was their first response.
Boy from number 80 on the map this town board will be taking Greenburgh right off the Westchester county map.
It was mentioned on the blog why didn't the town go after the money owed the taxpayers from the housing authority in Fairview to help with the budget.
Paul is it because the buildings are in Fairview?
Paul is it because this will be considered a freebee due to people who have good jobs, some professioals, some town workers ----
because they refuse to present their tax returns as proof that they are poor and must live in section eight housing.
Paul you stated that many people have stickers stating that they are disabled how do you know.
They gave proof from their doctors.
What proof have these residents who drive cadillacs, mercedes and other expensive cars shown to you that they are destitute.
You have made this town a one way street.
They don't have to worry about their garbage also since they live in a building complex.
What else will you and the town board shower them with to win the next election..
\
STILL WAITIN TO HEAR THE RESPONSE AS TO WHY WAS REGULA WAS PERMITTED TO PURCHASE FIVE NEW SMALL GARBAGE TRUCKS BUT ABOVE ALL WHERE ARE THEY NOW.
Since I do not have a curb I would like the town to furnish each and every household with plastic garbage bags.
Many of us cannot afford to purchase these bags which is the only method of getting our garbage picked up.
How many day workers have you picked up to help the disabled and the seniors.
Their price is much cheaper than you pay a regular sanitation worker.
Oh by the way if I have to pay for the private carting or the amount the town is asking $300.00 A YEAR I want my taxes lowered whatever the price.
Taxing me twice for the same service is illegal.

Paul will a dempsey dumpster be put at the end of each roadway .
Or will this company come down and up our driveways for pickups.
8:33 PM
we provide back door service
Dear 8:33,
Do not expect Paul to answer. I'm not sure what you are asking. You will have no pickup, except curb side because Paul cut that service from you. You only have to worry about getting it to the curb, not down the block, bless your heart.
If you can not manage to get your trash to the curb, I suggest you call the carting company above posted by Paul??.It will cost you money though. If you can not afford this, call Paul.
I know it's confusing and you should not have to be worrying about these things in this stage of your life. I'm sorry. Our Supervisor has no heart. None. He has abandoned you fine people after all of the years of loyalty. Such a shame......
You'll be getting "back door service" alright!
back door man where are you? please help us!!!
About the curb on Washington avenue
it was probably put in to deter
drivers from running down Hal
Samis. That's money wasted.
G. Rabinowitz
If Samis is running, it should be
to the pharmacy for anti psychotic
medication. He has two or three negative friends and his multiple
personalities that would vote for him.
Debra Gallo
hal - you must be scaring the lifers like juettner and the poseurs like sheehan.
they cannot attack your ideas or your opinions - so they make these foolish personal comments.
they are only kidding themselves.
Tell me Paul will the carting co. place a small dumpster at each house that will be picked up once a month.
You and your freaking changes in our way of life has turned this town up side down .
Can't wait to get rid of you and the board.
Dear Dr. Gallo:
I'm curious, are you a psychiatrist, a psychologist or a Drive-by shoot from the hips(no offense)"analyst?
It may be you who are in need of meds. Because (forgive me if I'm wrong) as a Feiner supporter you must be aware of the tried and true cliche, "neurosis, is repeating the same task over and over again, and expecting a different result."
Dr. G, if I'm not getting too familiar, this Town has been returning Paul Feiner to the supervisor's office nine times, and the only perceivabe change (perceived DOSEN'T change the definition of neurosis) is he's getting more dictatorial and more outrageous, with significantly less regard for the community.
At this point,I am "bet the ranch on it,"sure in his mind his feces doesn't smell. And even if it does, what the hell are "THEY" going to do about it?
Hal Samis is all about TRUTH. And when he wants to deceive Paul Feiner, he tells him the TRUTH, because Feiner has no experience with it.
Please reconsider your position. In the Bronx neighborhood I grew up in WE LOVED YOUR WINES.
im voting for samis and im med free!
I do hope that Samis does come foward as a candidate to run either agaist Feiner or a seat on the board.
What ever he decides to do he will have five mechanicle votes or five write in votes.
We need a change or we are dead ducks.
samis clearly has supporters.
but anon cannot vote.
funny (or sad) but more people in greenburgh now madoff than the other 4 board members including sphinx juettner who has been in office for 18 years.
know madoff that is.
who knows - maybe feiner will run a slate with samis. now that would be admirable.
