honoring His Excellency, Pierre Vimont, Ambassador of France to the United States,
who will be visiting Dobbs Ferry
on Saturday, July 25, 2009, at 3:30 p.m.
at the vest-pocket park,
at the corner of Broadway and Livingston Avenue.




Ambassador Vimont is visiting Dobbs Ferry at the invitation of Congresswoman Lowey and Congressman Hinchey, sponsors of the Washington-Rochambeau National Historic Trail legislation.

The ambassador is visiting our village because of Dobbs Ferry’s historic role at the time of the 1781 encampment of the allied American and French armies in Lower Westchester, under the command of Generals Washington and Rochambeau.

The ceremony honoring the ambassador is open to the public.
