The charming and historic Irvington Town Hall Theater is located in the same building as the Irvington village hall. This year the Irvington Town Hall Theater Commission (which works closely with village officials) decided to offer a film series in addition to other programs. I thought the following list of programs would be of interest to you.

THE FOLK GODDESS RETURNS AND MORE!
The return of Judy Collins is just one of the legendary events we have in store for you in our 2009-10 season. The Subdudes, Marshall Tucker Band and Arlo Guthrie will all be making encore performances, while Johnny Winter and Ronnie Spector will be making their debuts at the Theater. Join the Westchester Jazz Orchestra as they launch their 2009-10 season, featuring guitarist Paul Scofield. The Irvington Town Hall Theater Commission has just finalized a new and very special film series this year using the latest in digital technology.
ITHT Foundation Inc.'s Clocktower Players has started its fall registration for all the young budding thespians. The October 17th gala fundraiser, Sophisticated Fun, featuring a stellar line-up of Broadway talent, is sure to be a sensational evening of cabaret. Their fall adult musical this year is Camelot, in November. Camelot tells the tale of the court of King Arthur and the Knights of the Round Table. The name has come to mean a place or time of idyllic happiness. Camelot opened just weeks after John F. Kennedy’s election. Alan J. Lerner, who wrote the book and lyrics, was JFK’s classmate at Choate and Harvard. In an interview with Life magazine after the assassination, Jacqueline Kennedy confessed that “I’m so ashamed of myself-all I keep thinking of is this line from a musical comedy.” At night they would listen to the musical on their record player before they went to sleep, and JFK’s favorite song came at the very end of the recording. According to Jackie, President Kennedy had been enamored of the Knights of the Round Table from early childhood and he held to an idealistic view of history replete with heroes. Linking JFK with Camelot, Jackie Kennedy remarked that “There’ll be great presidents again…but there’ll never be another Camelot.” “Don’t let it be forgot / That once there was a spot / For one brief, shining moment that was known as Camelot.” – President Kennedy’s favorite lyrics from the Broadway show. It gets you every time!

FROM THE BLOG MASTHEAD
"Welcome to the Town Supervisor's Blog of Greenburgh, NY
Another Paul Feiner initiative to make Greenburgh the most open government in the United States! Be part of the Dialogue...participate...tell us what's on your mind...!
The views expressed in this blog are the personal views of the participants who post comments on the blog and are not those of the town, town employees or town government. The Supervisors views are his alone."
I guess you can talk "open government" if all the government does is promote an entertainment calendar and run employment ads.
i guess feiner is a frustrated newspaper publisher
after 20 years on the job, its clear he is burning out.
paul should learn to dress. all the other officials at ardsley day were in suits and proper attire. feiner looked like a bedraggled backpacker. no wonder he wasnt asked to speak.
The longer the posting the less Feiner has to hear , Nice job Paul
Feiner spoke at the ambulance corp ceremony during Ardsley day.
Real entertainment better than the circus atmosphere on the blog
The Supervisor passed legislation which outlawed animal acts (a staple of circus enter for centuries)and so the circus per se no longer comes to Greenburgh.
Instead, the Supervisor is promoting all of Greenburgh as having a circus-like atmosphere.
All Hail Caesar!
The Supervisor didn't speak at the Ardsley library dedication where Congresswoman Lowey, County Executive Spano, County Clerk Idoni, and State Senator Stewart-Cousins gave comments. Those who did speak praised the cooperation of Elmsford and Ardsley on the expanded library.
that would include the mayors of both villages
money due both these villages is owed by the valhalla school district. feiner is doing nothing to get back these ill gotten millions.
feiner snubs villages
I thought that it was a given that Mayor Leon and Mayor Willams had comments. Sorry that I omitted that in my prior posting. What was interesting is that only Councilman Morgan did not attend from the Town Council. Maybe he was planning how he would spend his "ecomonic stimulus" money, you know the extra $2,000 per year that he takes for medical coverage given that he already gets medical coverage from the Town as a retired member of the police department
I guess he'll start thinking about reelection in 18 months or so. In the meantime, take a hike. Shame on the people if you all forget about this.
