AAA BOND RATING FROM BOTH STANDARD & POORS AND FROM MOODY'S--A FIRST IN TOWN HISTORY

A FIRST FOR GREENBURGH: TOWN NOW HAS HIGHEST BOND RATINGS FROM BOTH MOODY’S AND STANDARD & POORS
For the first time in town history the town has received the highest bond ratings from the top two agencies: Moody’s and Standard & Poors. We just received good news:
Moodys has recalibrated The Town’s credit rating to Aaa. This is the highest credit rating issued by Moody’s. Moody’s is using a more uniform set of credit criteria for public (governments) and private (corporate) debt issues in establishing their credit ratings. In doing so, the Town’s credit rating has been “recalibrated” to Aaa. The Town now has a triple A rating from both Moodys and Standard & Poors. Both Moody’s & Standard & Poors have upgraded the towns bond ratings in recent years. Very few communities in the nation (probably less than 3%) have earned this distinction. Special thanks to Bart Talamani, Town Comptroller, Town Board members Sonja Brown, Diana Juettner, Kevin Morgan, Francis Sheehan, all our department heads, town Clerk Judith Beville, Receiver of Taxes David Dwinell for their efforts. Having the highest bond rating possible enables the town to save money by borrowing at reduced rates.

SHOULD PARKING AUTHORITY MEMBERS BE ELECTED?
The Town Board met with the attorneys for the Hartsdale Parking district about the proposed resolution calling for a change in the state law to eliminate property ownership requirements for members of the Hartsdale Parking district. This law reminds me of the pre-civil rights laws because they were designed to exclude some from participating in government. The lawyers asked that the Town Board postpone our vote until after the Parking district had a chance to meet. They are meeting tonight. One suggestion that I like: changing the law so that parking commissioners would be elected rather than appointed. This is done elsewhere. A resolution will be on next Wednesday’s Town Board agenda (April 28).

Could ya just stop the BS with the Parking District and just do your job? I've seen and heard comments about a vendetta you have against the District and thought it bologna but I've since changed my tune.

You're disgraceful. I'm embarrassed for you.

The BS with parking district is more than BS. If Feiner gets his way, many of our resident commuters could find themselves displaced. How will they pay the high Town taxes if they can't park to get to work?

Mr. "Open Government" refused the district's request for them to hold a public hearing prior to adopting any Resolution to change the existing law. Funny how he thinks the public shouldn't be informed when it suits him.

The public should also know how much all these antics are costing them both in their Town taxes and in their permit fees. He doesn't want this disclosed either.

The laws governing the district have existed for nearly 60 years. Feiner has yet to be honest about why he thinks the law should change. His nonsense about unconstitutionality and "Jim Crowe" laws is ludicrous. Basically he is saying there are no minority property owners in the district whom he could appoint to the board.

HIS PROPOSED CHANGES TO THE EXISTING LAWS ARE DANGEROUS - THEY WILL COMPROMISE EVERY CURRENT RESIDENT COMMUTER. VOICE YOUR CONCERN - TELL THE TOWN BOARD TO HOLD A PUBLIC HEARING BEFORE ADOPTING ANY CHANGES. THE PERMIT HOLDERS OF THE PARKING DISTRICT SHOULD INSIST ON A PUBLIC HEARING BEFORE PAUL FEINER CHANGES ANYTHING.

I would like to know why Mr. Kessler avoids claim to his home in Greenburgh. Playing games on his taxes?

I would like to know how the black community feels about Paul citing "Jim Crow Law" and civil rights as a means to break laws for personal gain?

Lastly, I would like to know why town board members go along with Paul's antics?

Good question - the simple answer is that Feiner supports their campaigns because they're too lazy to raise their own support. You can't be independent when someone else is footing the bill. They are a spineless and lazy. They don't have our best interests at heart. Their only concerns are their paychecks, retirement and lifetime health benefits.
