LIBRARY UPDATE: GEOTHERMAL CONTRACTOR STILL HAS NOT SIGNED CONTRACT

In December the Town Board awarded a contract to 5 separate library contractors for the library construction. One of the contracts was for geothermal technology. As of today that contract has not been signed by the contractor. I have asked that the public be provided with an update at Wednesday's Town Board meeting.

THE CONTRACTOR KNOWS THAT THIS WORK CANNOT PROCEED WITHOUT LARGER PROBLEMS.

since the contracts are not signed, is there a way we can reconsider this project and maybe just improve the structure that is currently there. We could spread the money around to places that really need it.

All the delays will cost tax payers more money. IT SHOULD HAVE BEEN IN OPERATION ALREADY.Let's refurbished, the existing building, and try to save money.Feiner was right on the button with this plan, but again he was outvoted. We have only the four brain dead keeping the chairs warm ,to thank for this disaster.

Hopefully they can admit they were wrong and now do the right thing for our community. We need to learn from our mistakes. Lets refurbish the nice building we had

Remember the four council members would never admit that they were wrong,,they never make mistakes. They are too dumb to see that the planning was wrong,The library is still running without all the new things proposed by the library board. Get rid of the head of the library, since he knew that there was something that was not right. It's too bad that many people were taken in by Juettner, and company. It's not too late.

maybe somebody can start a petition
and force another vote. I bet it would not pass this time. I know if it was defeated the first time by 66 votes it would have been brought up again. What do you think ?

I think thats a great idea!!!

ANOTHER VOTE,do you think Juettner and company want to be defeated .They pulled one over on all the residents of Greenburgh.Feiner told them that it was not the time to vote, but again they were bullied into defeating the supervisor again.Oh Sheehan ,how you have everyone tied arround your finger. The board does not recognize what power they have given you.I do hope that it will show up for two of them this coming election.
REPUBLIANS,INDEPENDENT PARTY OR WHOMEVER WANTS TO RUN PLEASE COME FOWARD.

But everything's ok says the Town Council and Al Regula?

It looks like they don't want to rebid the contract but gee what's a Library team to do? If the geothermal can only proceed without permitting by changing the job, then what is everyone waiting for? At some point the Town Council has to admit that they backed a loser, Howard Jacobs, and that they should have backed the residents/taxpayers/library patrons/voters who were channeling through the Supervisor.

Hopefully they will come to terms and explore the thesis that Mr. Feiner is not wrong about everything. And that they the Council have to think about those that they promised to serve.

It is time for Mr. Sheehan, Mr. Bass, Ms. Barnes and Ms. Juettner to swallow their pride. At the Democratic meeting Thursday, the best that Barnes could do to avoid acknowledgement is to allow that the Greenburgh Library Foundation is seeking money to buy furniture.
She might have added technology. Both of these items costing well over $1 million were included in the original budget but there is no money available, even after the budget trimming already done, which is after the starting 19% of the project total which was dedicated to inflation, contingency and reserves.

So, let's wait and see what happens next step. But before the memory fades, it was only a month ago that the Supervisor was instructed that he must sign all the contracts.

And, with the warm weather, how long before we see the excavation begin and the concrete flowing?

"Lets refurbish the nice building we had"

Haha ... It wasn't a nice building ... Always felt like you were going back several decades to the 70s or 50s ... But it is refurbish-able, and that may now be our only option.

The Town Council members are not looking at the big picture. The library is a big picture matter. The council is not providing any oversight of the library project. Shame on them. We pay them big dollars and get little in return.

lets sell the old town hall and library properties and go to the Ardsley library, just like Elmsford. We could save the 19.8 million and also receive money from the taxes. haha

Seriously lets have another vote.
I vote to renovate the library and sell the old town hall.

WHY SPEND THE MONEY, use the building that we have .The library should have been almost finished, but what was said at the town meeting ,no one seems to know what the heck is going on.You did not want to listen to the supervisor's advice .Mr.Samis has put the whole scenerio on the line but I do not think the four board members dont seem to understand.Mr.Samis thank you for trying to make these people understand that something is not right. You could lead a horse to water, but you can't make him drink.
