CON ED TO REPLANT TREES CUT ON TOWN PROPERTY

Con Ed has agreed to plant small trees to replace trees cut on town property. Con Ed is involved in a tree cutting program in our area to help reduce the possibility of future power outages. Trees cut on town property will be replaced with smaller growing trees. Trees cut on non town property will not be replaced. For copies of their e mail to me please visit the town web site: www.greenburghny.com or e mail pfeiner@greenburghny.com

I live adjacent to the Con Ed right of way, Con Ed was great with notifications and working with me to make sure the job was done right and that my trees were trimmed appropriatly.

I am pleased that Con Ed will replace the trees on Town property. Now it is the Town's responsibility to develop and fund a plan to maintain those trees. I presume such a plan will be presented for incorporation into the operating budget as soon as possible.

Yea, ConEd did a nice job.

I hope the planting and maintenance of the new trees will be planned for intelligently.
