When will these taxes come down.
How much does the school system need to be run .
if we were not taxed so high for school does that mean that our children would go without an education.
I doubt it.
Teacheres in private schools make one third of a salary than our teachers. Why is this?
Their salary is less and the children receive the same education.

The Town of Greenburgh, including the Supervisor, have no control over school spending. If you dont like your school spending, run for the School Board.

Do the people that have to send there kids to a good school district get a tax refund?

This should be made possible,BUT it will never happen.
The same goes for those that do not have chilldren going to school.
Why should they carry the burden for those that have school age children.
Since we who have no one going to school we should have our nieces and grand children go to the district school.
Yes one may say that we do get something back with the Star program.but you and know that is just a drop in the bucket.

if you have 3 kids in the school district you pay the same as if you had one - there are lots of inequities in taxation

Most seniors already had their kids go through the school systems.
Now they don't want to pay. The people before them paid, and now it's their turn. It's the cycle of LIFE! The problem in this Town is the Town keeps giving the Management company that runs the Housing projects big Tax breaks and the rest of us have to pay for it.

When you live in a community you pay for the community. It is not a la carte, but a prix fixe dinner. Schools are part of the community, and are part of what makes a community a good community.

I don't believe in war - why should I have to pay for a standing army?
I don't believe in unemployment insurance - I own and operate my own business - why should I have to pay unemployment insurance which I can never collect?
I pay because it is part of the obligations of citizenship.

The idea is to help the poor and middle class with tax rebates if they want to send their children for a better education. This will allow for better leaders in the future.
It has nothing to do with not paying school tax. Open up your mind and understand its about the children.

I pay social security tax and doubt I will ever see a cent in benefits.

And why does the HPPD incur 70K for policing? We dont need a full time officer. Checking 2 or 3 times per day should be sufficient. And it should be done by a junior grade officer.
