I have been reading the blog comments. Some people are so nasty. Sad--especially during this holiday season. Wouldn't it be great if people had a positive attitude on life? And-- on the town. Think positive this weekend!

I would love to think positive. That the Town Council, elected by the people, will think harder about Westhab. That even Westhab, whose mission is to help neighborhoods, will think harder about Fulton Park.

I loved the pets parade this year at the park on Central Avenue. The new dog park is so much fun.

just want to let all you town tax payers now how you have a fire dept. in your town that (1) has a fire chief that is (4) years over the state required retirement age and the board of fire commisioners and the state keep approving him for a (2) year extension he now 74 or 75 his wife is his secretary and sit's in on the commisioners board meetings which is her job and you don't think she goes home and tells him what goes on which is a major confict of intrest..
(2)fire fighters get unlimted sick time which means if i go out after work crash my car & can't work for 6 months i get full pay i do not go on disabilty and another fire fighter works for me at time and a half is that a great job or what...

I love Hart's Brook park. The wide trails, the quiet, the fox and deer and the moments with nature only a mile from the train station. Thanks Greenburgh for thinking ahead.

Janet Lefkowitz runs a remarkable tennis program.

Think positively............. OK. How about having a Supervisor that does not waste the first hour of each Board Meeting on his re-election campaign by handing out Certificate after Certificate. How about having Board members who actually FIX problems like West Help and West Hab rather than add to them. How about having less theatrics at Board meetings. All of these are positive thoughts. Doubtful if any will come true but maybe Santa will be good to us this year.

Most of our schools are excellent.

Anonymous said...

Dear Anonymous at 4:32AM -
You've chosen one of the two areas in which the Town has NO authority. That your schools are excellent is no thanks to the Town - which would happily remove funding from them if it could.

On second thought, lack of Town authority over the schools is a very positive thought.

No the town would take from everyone else and give to Greenburgh Central -- oh but wait, they already do, with Xposure.

The tennis program at Veterans is run mostly for Ardsley residents, but charged to B budget. Get rid of it.

Think positive. OK.

Paul Feiner is POSITIVELY the worst elected official in the history of Greenburgh, if not Westchester.

Diana Juettner is POSITIVELY the record holder for "do nothing, say nothing and act" DO NOTHINGNESS in the history of Westchester, forget about Greenburgh.

Fran-the-Man is POSITIVELY the most OBNOXIOUS, BACKSTABBING, HYPOCRITE eleted to office in the history of Greenburgh.

Kevin Morgan is POSITIVELY, hands down, the SMILINGEST RODIN clone on the Greenburgh dias ever.

Sonja Brown is POSITIVELY the most transparent SINGLE ISSUE elected official anywhere.

Tim Lewis is POSITIVELY the most LEAST qualified attorney in the history of the legal profession in the U.S.

There, I feel positive all over.

There have been at least 3 budget hearings in recent weeks. Almost no one showed up to complain.
The only complainers: the usual suspects...the people who write the nasty blog comments and like to talk among themselves. They represent themselves - although some are legends in their own mind.
Most of us are happy with the town.

ed krauss said...

5:36, if you're so happy with this town, why are you afraid or ashamed, or both, to reveal your name. Those "legends in their own mind," present themselves, on camera, using their names a part of town they live in, and offer alternatives to that which is being forced down our throats. Were you happy with last years 20+% tax increase? Is your "happiness" a function of "only" having an 8,9, or more % this year?

And, what is your source for 'most of us are happy with this town?"

Is there a research study that has escaped "most of the rest of us in this town?"

When you grow the gonads to do what those you anonymously criticize, then you have the right to throw darts.

Until then, you're a "spurious statistic" in your own mind.

Bravo Krauss!

Anonymous said...

If you are so happy with this town then you must live in a dwelling that has section 8 and you receive whatever is free.

Anonymous said...

oh wow, Mr. Krauss you are such a tough guy. Perhaps some of us who are happy with the town choose to remain anonymous because we don't want the idiots calling us up and harrassing us.

Why Mr. Krauss do you choose to chide 5:36 for not having gonads, but not 3:03? (It's always the bullies, who bluster about other people's manhood, because they have feelings of inadequacy, isn't it?)

10:35,

You have it wrong, it is the people who criticize Feiner who get harrassed.

Anonymous said...

Right. Bernstein, Krauss, Samis, Preiser, O'Shea. How have they been harassed?

Anonymous said...

Feiner's been harassing Bernstein for years in an attempt to intimidate him. When Bernstein first filed suit against the town on Taxter Ridge, Feiner countersued for sanctions. Since then, whenever Bernstein's accused Feiner of one form of mismanagement or another, Feiner's repeatedly written letters to the managing partner of Bernstein's law firm to complain. One time Feiner even got one of this subordinates to write to all 120 of Bernstein's law firm partners.

As for Samis, Feiner years ago threw a public tantrum, threatening to write to Samis's employer as well. The incident earned Feiner condemnation in several newspapers.

With respect to Krauss, Feiner keeps bringing up a dispute years ago involving a town contract. The facts are long since forgotten, but Feiner thinks that by reminding the public that Krauss supposedly once had a contract with the town, that Krauss is somehow still angry with Feiner for supposedly taking it away. Never mind, of course, that the facts don't support what Feiner is saying - Feiner thinks that by bringing the matter up, he'll discredit whatever Krauss says.

If Bernstein files frivolous and costly lawsuits shouldn't he be sanctioned? Every lawsuit he files costs Edgemont and unincorporated Greenburgh residents lots of money to defend.

Anonymous said...

How can you call Bernstein's lawsuits frivolous? He want at the lower court level, the appeals court is hearing him -- thats not frivolsou.

10:15 PM,12/13.AKA Anonymous PHD (Piled Higher & Deeper. My profound apology to real PHDs) . What makes you think your obviously pedestrian comments as well as those of your fellow travellers are worthy of a harrassing phone call?

If I were to harass someone who annoys the hell out of me, it would be Feiner, not some sychophant like you.

11:24AM, 12/14 Thank you for getting it right. Since Feiner's excedes-arms-length grasp of the truth (about anything) precedes him, as many times as he or his coterie of hangers- on write about that which never happened, and a person-even one person-like you debunks it, that continuously restores my faith in human nature.`

Thank you again. And I do agree with a poster who said, those opposed to feiner are harassed when they reveal their names. It happened to a dear friend of mine in Edgemont.

Anonymous said...

Ed, you don't make any sense.

Anonymous said...

Why complain:
Feiner and his cronies continue to destroy the town- nothing will be done with this town board until replacements are elected.

Silver Streaks still have not paid - only one competent person in the pool and three are now in charge - What a mess. Lazy do nothing PB-incompetent TD WHAT ARE FARCE?

Chief Kapica -Have you arrested Valerie Whitehead for thief of services and the no show jobs that netted felony family of Valerie Whitehead the one who created budget deficit -$100,000 ????????????????????
That what curious minds want to Know??????????

Anonymous said...

Anon at 12/14 at 4:20 is Feiner blogging anonymously again, this time repeating his false statements that Bernstein's lawsuits have cost taxpayers in Edgemont and unincorporated Greenburgh money. They have not. The town has chosen to defend those lawsuits in house, rather than hiring outside lawyers, so that the defense has never cost taxpayers a dime. If Bernstein wins, Edgemont and the rest of unincorporated Greenburgh will see a substantial reduction in their town taxes because millions of dollars in annual costs for parks and rec facilities and programs open town wide to all town residents, including those in villages, will have to be shifted from unincorporated Greenburgh to the entire town - something Feiner has been fighting for years.

Anonymous said...

The town should arrange for a Y to take over the TDYCC. We have shown we cant run it. And the board doesnt care -- is just fine with no - show jobs and no- bid contracts.

According to Feiner and Garfunkle (who will take over Feiner's anon posting when Feiner goes to Israel), ever problem in town is Bernsteins lawsuits and the library. Oh, if only that were true.

As I have previously stated, I make the miscellaneous posts for the blog each week, not Paul. I sign every post at the bottom with my name. I'm the one taking the trip to Israel. I edited the post to make it more obvious that I wrote it. I hope this clears up any misconceptions.

Marc,

ARe you that stupid. I said anon, not misc. I am talking about the multitude of anons saying the town and superivosr are doing great.

Marc - not even worth a reply.

Enjoy your trip to Israel.
