SAVE THE DATE: FIRST ANNUAL STACHE OFF ON NOV 14 TO BENEFIT MUSIC CONSERVATORY- OPEN TO MUSTACHES...I"M A JUDGE

Westchester County’s First Annual ’Stache-Off, originally slated for September 12 at the Music Conservatory of Westchester, will now take place Saturday, November 14 from 7-10PM. Open to all mustaches of Westchester, the ’Stache-Off features local men competing for “best in ‘stache” prizes from Movember.com, TheCheapPop.com, Equinox Fitness of Mamaroneck, Sam Ash and many more to be named.

The event is presented by Jon Chattman, co-author of the recently released humor book SWEET ’STACHE: 50 Badass Mustaches and the Faces Who Sport Them and founder of the pop culture website thecheappop.com. A SWEET ’STACHE book signing and performances from some of the Conservatory’s ensembles and faculty (Nakia Verner and Barbara Podgurski are among the talent lined up thus far) will precede the countywide mustache contest.

Guest judges include Greenburgh Town Supervisor Paul Feiner, Opie and Anthony’s “Primetime” Sam Roberts, Jeff Lee - lead singer of the band Hard Drugs, and Film Critic Marshall Fine. Jessica Rozler and Andrea Lavinthal, co-authors of “The Hookup Handbook” and Chattman and “’Stache” co-author Rich Tarantino will also judge. Nearby Tuscany Cafe will provide locally-roasted coffee and refreshments.

Admission is $12 or $20 (which includes a signed copy of the book). Partial proceeds will benefit the not-for-profit school’s scholarships and tuition assistance. To register or for additional information on the “’Stache Off” event, please contact Jon Chattman at jon@musiced.org.
