Close the center it does not bring in enough revenue to stay opened.
Without tax money it cannot stay opened so why do we keep putting money into a sinking ship?

Do you realize that there are 3 convicted felons on the "Search" team. WHAT A JOKE !!!!!

You have got to be kidding!!!!!!!
Hey paul I thought the center was run to help the youth of Fairview at our expense .
Close the place before more and more youths will get into trouble.
At one meeting one of the youths said that there was no other place like the center to help the youth.
If you have any type of criminal there how good is this place.
Is this a den of inequity?Paul why do you praise this place knowing some of the goings on.
Has this center ever been investigated by the police or do they wait for something to happen.
The center is not being run honestly and to my knowledge it will be the sorce of doing most of the youth in.
CLose it Close it.

That's the problem with this part of town no one does any checking of any sort.
Why do you treat these people different?
They are all good actors.Could you be that green as to not to see how they try to take you over a barrel.
Well the way our taxes are going up I think you had better change how you handle this area before they put the town in bankrupcey.
I guess you like to give them our hard earned money, please have some consideration for us once in a while.
Now as far as thes three persons being fellons where is the chief of police?
If it were three other people he would be checking them out as far back as their grandfathers
.

Now you can say that Greenburgh is run not only by bad managers but also by crooked individuals.
What a great town.
Is there a new type of strong arms that are handeling all the decisions that have to be made in this town.
Can someone tell us when background checks were made on all employees of the town.
This town does not care as to who they entrust with some of the daily routines.
Your center and day care center do not need our tax dollars if they were run efficiently.
The two mentioned should have generated enough money throughout the years to be seld sufficient instead they are constanly asking for funds.
Many of us have and still pay for day care for our children why should we pay for some other children who have working parents.
This is not right.
Tell me Paul and the town board do you see something wromg with this picture.
How much more do these people have to rape the tax payers not only in the town but state and the whole united states.
We all pay taxes federal, state and county and all the money goes to that area.
Yes there are many grants that they receive but it seems they are never enough WHY?

Supervisor Feiner ,the public is getting fed up with the mis-use of our tax dollars.
Should an investigation be in place to check the goings on in Greenburgh.
Fairview seems to be eating up all the tax dollars by constantly crying .
Wake up too bad we woke up too late to see all the crooked business that has been going on.
But as they say it is never too late to learn.
You have three alledged fellons doing a search for you HOW COME.
If this is so smarten up before it's too late.
You are heading for a real fall when election time comes arround again.
You could fool some of the people some of the time but you can't fool all of the people every time.
Guess what we have finally woke up after a very long sleep
Our new tax rate kissed us all to make this rude awakening.

Although I am not totally in favor of this search committe process, it's what our town board committed to and we'll just have to make the best of it. If bringing in enough money to be completely self sufficient is the criteria that we must adhere to for the TDYCC then I can only assume that you also wish to close all of the other public facilities that are taxpayer funded. Have you given the same scrutiny to the Nature Center, the eight pools and parks, the thirty tennis courts, two ponds, fourteen parklets and more. Do any one of you who have responded so negatively in this blog think that the library will generate enough revenue to justify its existence? Yet does that mean that they are not important to our quality of life in Greenburgh? I am appalled at the bigoted remarks reflected in these blogs. No wonder you want to remain anonymous. Perhaps your friends and neighbors should know how you really feel about "those people" (and we know who you are referring to)in Fairview who are receiving such deferential treatment. People in Fairview pay taxes for all of the same services that you pay taxes for and we don't use all of them either. We also had the same tax increase. People in Fairview are just as supportive, productive and committed to this town as any other area of Greenburgh. As for the convicted felons, perhaps you should hold your judgements until you know the validity of the accusations and the nature of the alleged felonies. I have always felt proud of the diversity of my town, these kinds of comments, however, remind me that the struggle is far from over and that we have to continue to be aware that "you people" still exist. Thank God I believe that "you people" are in the minority and your thoughts and feelings are not indicative of most of the good people of Greenburgh. Oh, by the way, it might just surprise you to see the diversity of the participants of the programs and services utilized at the community center.

Does anyone know how many members of the search committee attended this meeting?

I'd like to know.

Hal,
I think it was between 20 - 25,however, some who signed up for the committee were unable to attend. Since all who want to be involved are accepted there may be 30+ members. This is going to be a very interesting endeavor.

Ricardo lange, a homeless man who is on the Community Center search committee, is currently in jail, so.....he will not be attending the meeting. OH BY THE WAY, I have heard he uses Councilwoman Sonya Browns address on his arrest paperwork....

FOIL IT...SEE FOR YOUSELF !!!!!

PS: The interim commissioner's nephew, who is a convicted felon, is also on the "Search Team"

FOIL IT....SEE FOR YOURSELF !!!!!

Okay Sherlock
Your investigative skills are unsurpassed. Your parents must be so proud. Read TDYCC's mission statement. Here's a unique idea, what if there were something we could do to change the course of someone who may need direction? What exactly did you expect your expose to accomplish?
The people on the search committee will provide input as to the qualities they would like the next commissioner to possess. Believe me this process is not going to effect the course of the free world. Get over yourself and focus on something constructive.

I think the Olympic committee will be interested in the library roof to be used as one of their programs ,summer, skate board and winter ski slope.

Hurrah for Vicki Simmons! Point well taken - and what good research to be able to list all the other public facilities that could be looked into besides TDYCC - never mind the schmoozing between owners of office buildings and the Town, seeking to turn their empty space into havens for "affordable housing" ie, for folks who make 80,000. Lots of "crocks" around, Vicki. Keep up the good work!

Why should there not be affordable housing for those that make $80 gs.
Is affordable housing only for the fakes who cry with two loaves of bread under each arm.
What did Vicki prove to the residents?
It sounded to me let's screw whom we can when we can.
Free money is always enjoyed at the expense of taxpayers.
Try breaking your butt as many of us do to stay alive.

PAUL FEINER BASES EVERYTHING ON VOTES. THE "COMMUNITY PEOPLE" OF THE COMMUNITY CENTER BRING LOTS OF VOTES AND GET HIM RE-ELECTED EVERY YEAR. (EVEN WHEN HIS OWN PARTY IS AGAINST HIM) HE KNOWS THIS AND THAT'S WHY YOU HAVE A SECRETARY THAT WAS PROMOTED TO RUN THE CENTER, AND FELONS WORKING THERE. IF PEOPLE OUTSIDE THIS GREENBURGH/FAIRVIEW COMMUNITY WOULD ALL GO OUT AND VOTE AGAINST PAUL FEINER, WE WOULD FINALLY BE FREE OF HIS NO ACCOUNTIBILITY/SPEAK OUT OF TWO SIDES OF HIS MOUTH POLITICS.
