CHURCH SEEKS DONATION OF TURKEYS FOR THANKSGIVING

Paul Feiner I received an e mail from Elder Florence Preston of Christ Temple Church. She advised me that the church is organizing a turkey drive to help Greenburgh residents who cannot afford a turkey and fixings. If you would be willing to donate turkeys and other food fixings that can be given to needy families please call 948-4596 or e mail SECTEMPLE@aol.com.

We all know he wants to look like a savior.
He could use some of the funds he gets from developers to help these people.

what's wrong with helping people?

Good lord! We have a food bank house in a center that we pay lots of money to keep running. Why doesn't Paul direct these people here?

Christ Temple Church 25 Oak St is 0.2 miles from 32 Manhattan Ave where there is a food pantry at TDYCC.

Why doesn't the Fairview community use it? Why doesn't Paul refer the church to TDYCC? Is it a front for something else?

SURE NUFF the parishonerss of this church have the center right at their finger tips. Why can't they use the thangsgiving day meal that is available to them most probably free of charge.
With all the specials in the various supermarkets they probably also received a turkey at a lesser amount.
I don't mind donating one or even two turkies but I want to make sure that it does go to a needy family.

Maria Regina High School HARTSDALE collected and donated 500+ turkeys and trimmings to St Paul's Food Pantry in Yonkers.

It's wonderful but one has to question why they choose to support the Yonkers community and not Greenburgh.

answers #1Greenburgh doesn't give a bleep about the school or the kids many who live in TOV.
#2 Greenburgh doesn't REALLY have needy, just givers (town with our tax money)and takers (Fairview). At least these 500+ turkeys will go to families who REALLY need food.

Town of Greenburgh donates turkeys to church.

Town Supervisor posts help wanted ads on his blog: seeking new Department Heads and applicants for town boards.

Now what could these two headlines have in common?
