Lets go Paul said...

Paul about two months ago you boasted "that soon as the tree trimmers are finished the staging area by the Sprain Parkway would be restored back to the way it was." I'll tell you the way I look at it, the area has not been restored back to the way it was. Blacktop covers the entire area, the trees that are there were damaged by the contractor and you don't see or say nothing. Greenburgh taxpayers getting stepped on again. Paul it's time to act like a supervisor and make some calls to the State DOT instead of posting available job openings. Have the area cleaned up or are we as taxpayer going to have to look at it as " Paul let them do it". First impressions of this town are lasting.

I guess you don't understand the state or the county don't listen to Feiner.
He happens to be on their you know what list.
Maybe you can contact the county or state yourself and it could be that you will receive better results.

astorino might listen
paul was right on oppposing spano
good riddance andy and tolchin

When did Paul oppose Spano's re-election? Please cite one statement he made.

feiner one of the keys for astorino said...

paul is a democrat so he was constrained
its no secret feiner didnt like spano and vice versa

feiner did alot to make the point that county govt was bloated and should even be dispensed with

that thought resonated with the voters and having no reason to keep spano around, either stayed home or crossed over and voted for astorino

Feiner+Spano=pot calling kettle black.

OMG ,I am rolling on the floor and can not stop.
Paul ,Thanks for the laughs as I consider my Town tax bill but you should not be blogging during work time esp when we have 2 rec depts, a discriminatory after school program and a Giveaway Nutrition program for other towns

Two thoughts:

Paul Feiner, Democrat to the stars.

The more time he spends on the blog, facebook. twitter, his radio show, writing letters to the editor, doing press...the less time he spends governing.
Isn't this a good thing?

Anonymous said...

No Hal, it's not. It means the Town's problems will just continue to get worse, with higher taxes, deteriorating services, and no strategy for dealing with either except more of the same.

Anonymous said...

Do you think that Feiner gives a hoot about Greenburgh.
He was voted in over and over again and won because no one wants to take on the headaches that were and are being created over and over again.
Our salvation is if the county takes over Greenburgh.

feiner needs to update emails/blogsite said...

Paul I know Central Avenue is a State Road but Con Ed has had high steel plates by Hartsdale Imaging building just South of Spooktown (which looks better in red and green)on ths southbound side . The plates have been there for about a week and there is no warning sign of bump ahead or steel plates ahead of any kind. If anyone gets a flat tire they should write to Con Ed and can't the town FINE Con Ed due to know signs warning people.

PAUL FEINER said...

I like the idea --of con ed warning people of the metal plates.

Disgruntled Greenburgher said...

Paul -
Don't "like" the idea - DO SOMETHING!
Get DPW or tyhe Traffic Department of GPD to put up sawhorses with flashing lights around the plates and SEND CON ED THE BILL for whatever it costs.
Traffic safety is an essential Town service - not an opportunity for you to grandstand again!

Disgruntled Greenburgher Too said...

Dear Disgruntled -
I doubt its DPW or the Traffic Department - its probably Parks and Recreation who do maintenance on the roads.
That was a long ago Feiner idea to save money - so now no one, even the Supervisor, knows who is responsible. Once Feiner accepted a one-time payment from NY State to maintain Central Avenue in perpetuity he "forgot" the Town has obligations to maintain the road. Of course accepting the money reduced the Town-wide property taxes that year, so it truly was not a better, but a Feiner idea.

Isn't Central Ave ( Rte 100) a NYS resposibility. Why would Greenburgh be reponsible for any cost?

Several years ago the State of New York decided to offer one-time cash payments to Towns which would accept the ongoing costs and responsibility for State roads within their boundaries.
At Feiner's urging the Town accepted the offer and has been responsible ever since.
The money from NY State was used in the year it was received to lower property taxes for the Town entire.
If you look at this year's budget, the Town entire budget of approximately $15 million is only about 1/3 funded by property tax revenues - the rest being interfund transfers, fees, sales of property and the like.
The year Greenburgh took the payment, Feiner was able to brag about a 0% tax increase for the Town entire - he neglected to explain that money would be necessary from future budgets to pay for things the State had been paying for previously.
Good old Paul - never pay today for something you can charge folks for tomorrow!

Once again you have gotten it wrong. Check your facts, Feiner was against the 0% increase which went beyond his proposed budget. He was also against the library, wasn't he Bob? By why should the facts get in the way.

lots of distortions, lies, innuendo's, false statements from commenters on the blog. Makes blog boring.

Mean Spirited Comments and Blogging
Trolls. Flamers. Meanies. Vicious. Not Nice. Unkind. Rude. Inconsiderate. Nasty. Whining. Bitching. Moaning. Bastards.

Where there are humans, you will find humans who seem to have more than their share of these personality traits. Blogging is no exception.

Even the most non-controversial blogs, like this one, is the target of the blogging thug, mean spirited bloggers and commenters who just have to say nasty things when they can, for whatever reason they want to revel in.

Accusations run from just mean comments to outright lies about you and your blog.

I’m not talking about rip-roaring debates or enthusiastic arguments. I’m talking about old fashion meanness.

It often begins with mean comments on your posts. They can start off as just “not nice” and if they don’t get a response, or they do, the comments can become more aggressive. The mean blogger may actually write their mean attitude about you and your blog on their blog. Many of these mean people encourage others to feel the same way as they do, thus seeking validation for their mean spirits. And trust me, they find them. People are always willing to go along with negative energy. It often feels like negative energy attracts more negative energy faster and easier, than positive attracts positive.

Where there is negative energy in abundance, gangs form. If enough of a gang is formed, they will support each other to target your blog with more viciousness. Group meanness is even more fun because of the team spirit.

Fortunately, mean spirits don’t last very long. Unless they have a lot of energy and motivation behind them, they tend to fizzle out. Most mean spirited folks get their thrills by just making nasty comments and the occasional mean blog post.

Sometimes the mean spirits are self-generated. People read something, make a lot of assumptions, and slap back. Because someone has an opinion and writes it on their blog, some assume the opinion is a fact not an opinion. Once they cool down and gain a little perspective, they often realize their mistake and back off.

Not all, however. Immediately recognizing that there has been a misunderstanding, the recipient can get stressed wondering if the person realized later that they were off base, or if they ever will realize it. We worry about how to react, whether or not to respond, and what will happen if we do, or if we don’t. Recipients of negative comments and blogs worry about how far the mean folks will go to make their nasty feelings known. Mean spirited comments and bloggers take a lot of fun away from the fun spirit of blogging.

Not to be negative but excuse me Herb; but I don't get what you "mean". Why don't YOU open your blind and let the sun shine in.
You are one of participants in the Age of Egregious.

Things we can we learn from the Village People

"Young man, there's no need to feel down.
I said, young man, pick yourself off the ground.
I said, young man, 'cause you're in a new town
There's no need to be unhappy.

Young man, there's a place you can go.
I said, young man, when you're short on your dough.
You can stay there, and I'm sure you will find
Many ways to have a good time.

It's fun to stay at the Y-M-C-A.
It's fun to stay at the Y-M-C-A.

They have everything for you men to enjoy,
You can hang out with all the boys ...

It's fun to stay at the Y-M-C-A.
It's fun to stay at the Y-M-C-A.

You can get yourself cleaned, you can have a good meal,
You can do whatever you feel ...

Young man, are you listening to me?
I said, young man, what do you want to be?
I said, young man, you can make real your dreams.
But you got to know this one thing!

No man does it all by himself.
I said, young man, put your pride on the shelf,
And just go there, to the Y-M-C-A.
I'm sure they can help you today.

Young man, I was once in your shoes.
I said, I was down and out with the blues.
I felt no man cared if I were alive.
I felt the whole world was so tight ...

That's when someone came up to me,
And said, young man, take a walk up the street.
There's a place there called the Y-M-C-A.
They can start you back on your way.

It's fun to stay at the Y-M-C-A.
It's fun to stay at the Y-M-C-A.

They have everything for you men to enjoy,
You can hang out with all the boys ...

Y-M-C-A... you'll find it at the Y-M-C-A.

Young man, young man, there's no need to feel down.
Young man, young man, get yourself off the ground.

Y-M-C-A ... you'll find it at the Y-M-C-A.

Young man, young man, there's no need to feel down.
Young man, young man, get yourself off the ground.

Y-M-C-A ... just go to the Y-M-C-A.

Young man, young man, are you listening to me?
Young man, young man, what do you wanna be"

Wondering why Greenburgh doesn't have a YMCA instead of a TDYCC?
Check with the Town Board, it's on their gaydar.
