When will the money owed by the housing authority be put back on the agenda or presented at a town meeting.
Have you forgotten that they owe the town over one half a million dollars for PRIVATE Greenburgh police protection???????
By the way make sure that they do not receive anymore grants since we as residents do not have to pay our share twice.
Once in the town budget for the police and then again to match the grant.
That's plain BS.

That's right what happened to the money that is due the town.
Don't tell me because this is a problem in the black neighborhood you are pushing it under the rug.
By the way are they still receiving police protection at the towns expense?

ANSWERE ANSWERS PAUL //////
YOU ALL HAVE BEEN TOO QUIET ON THIS TOPIC.
HAVE SOME MORE REVERENDS OR MAYBE OTHER RELIGIOUS PEOPLE GOTTEN TOO YOU AGAIN.
HAVE THESE REVERENDS LOOK INTO THEIR OWN POCKETS TO HELP DEFRAY THE EXPENSES.
THE MONEY WAS PAID THRU OUR TAXES IN THE POLICE BUDGET AND IT SHOULD BE PAID BACK ASAP.
INTEREST IS PILLING UP FOLKS.

the town board is paid for by all of the town's taxpayers - but the town board spends little or no time on village matters - in fact the town board has spent nearly all of its time on either fulton park, the library, or fairview matters over the past few months.

this looks like a ripoff to the villagers.

So you are thinking to buy the DPW a new toy. What a disgrace.
They don't do the job that is needed at the moment what makes you think that this will chane.
Boy can anyone sell you a pile of BS>
The lady talking who is seated along Regula was versed so well with answers that it was sickening.
ONe lies the other swears.
They do deserve one another.
And by the way you had to call the chief to help you out with this transmap project.
Paul you have got to be kidding.
Irvington did the smart think to stay out of these talks.
The roads have not been maintained for sometime do think this will change.
Remember this is a toy if we had competent people working we would not need this toy to pinpoint trouble.
Paul they will be selling a few bridges I think we could use one or two in Greenburgh How about making a bid.
Better still maybe you can pick up a grant so the town residents will pay their share.
Give us a break.
We do not need this toy at this moment.
Regula will be either get fired or resign. He just wants to put another expense on our shoulders but above all make his workday shorter than one hour a day.

To Town Board Ripoff

Count your blessing that the Town Board doesn't spend time on the villages. Sure the villages pay for the Town Board and Town Hall because that's the law, but the Town Board doesn't govern the villages and we are happy about that.

Anonymous said...

then the law should be changed.
sounds like taxation without representation.

Anonymous said...

Whaaat -- the villagers do get to vote.

Anonymous said...

Yes, in the villages, they call it "representation without taxation."

Anonymous said...

I'm surprised that the villages still choose to be associated with Greenburgh.

After listening to Freedman will we still have town hall meeting or has open government gone to the dogs.
With all the dos and donts I think that the publics input means nada to you.
I would like to have a blur print as to how you will be conduvting the future meeting.

I live in unincorporated. My best friend lives in the village of Hastings. We both are happy living in Greenburgh. Good govermnment. Good services.

Kolesar for Town Supervisor. Hail Kolesar our Savior.

We still haven't gotten an answer to what happened with the money owed to us the taxpayers from the housing authority.
AQre they still receiving private Greenburgh protection?
How much longer do we have to wait for an answer?

Dear 9:06 -
There is a considerable difference between living in a detached single family home and in a gated community in a "sponsors" unit.
Mr. Feiner, when you post a lame defense of Greenburgh, at least do not believe we are so stupid that we do not know it is you.
A little more respect - both for the citizens of Greenburgh and the law of the land - shown by you would result in more respect shown to you.

If the Multipurpose Center cost 1.3 million, amortized over 20 years (life of building) v. cost of TDYCC (3million plus EVERY YEAR) -- go away with your ridiculous charges of rascim. The multipurpose center is used and frequently rented out. Legitimate uses.

TDY TEMPORARY COMMISSIONER ALLOWED TO CONTINUE SIX FIGURE JOB WHILE UNDER POLICE INVESTIGATION

To Supervisor Feiner and the Members of the Town Council:

As there is an official police investigation currently underway regarding Ms. Whitehead, why are my tax dollars subsidizing her salary? As she is alleged to have hired "No-Show" jobs, including her nephew (who is a convicted felon), why is she allowed to remain in that position?

At the very least shouldn't Ms. Whitehead be placed on Administrative Absence until the completion of the investigation?

Does it serve the public interest of tax payers to have her continue in a job like nothing happened? What example does this set for our young people and honest employees who are working their 9-5 jobs everyday? It's apparent that she had much to hide, because when the police entered the building, she ran out and didn't show up until five days later. These actions do not point to innocence. I feel sorry for all the employees of that center who work every day, who are dedicated, and wouldn't dream of being paid for more than one minute for which they worked. She has brought embarrassment and shame to that center. A cover up, or lack of response by Supervisor Feiner is unacceptable. The people of Greenburgh deserve an explanation about the current goings on at the center.

Is our Town Comptroller asleep at his desk while all this is happening?

Yes, it's the truth. The police have been at the Theodore D. Young Center everyday since Wednesday, September 17th. Yesterday, they were there 3 times - what going on?? Whitehead is hidding out-why are we paying her? Put her on administrative leave without pay until the investigation is over or leave with pay.Just get a new commissioner NOW!!!! So the cleaning up can be done and so can the heling of all the damage she's done to the residents of Greenburgh.

SWEETHEART DEAL FOR GAY SILVERMAN

I was disgusted by last nights Town Board meeting where Gay Silverman gave a performance worthy of an oscar. When the town prices out such things as staplers, why isn't there competitive bidding for the very valuable commodity of indoor pool space at the TDYCC? Where does she get this false sense of entitlement that the pool belongs exclusively to her? In addition, her elitist "Silver Streaks" has effectively ousted neighborhood children who cannot afford the high prices she charges. This is an outrage! My taxes are going sky high in Greenburgh and this woman is using public property for her private enterprise. Who's getting a cut here Paul? Open Government in Greenburgh is a sham! You don't answer questions, you don't follow up, and you talk out of four sides of your mouth.

I have read the blogs regarding The Greenburgh Housing Auth. and yes true the owe half a million but what about the verbal contract with the cheif? Ask you self this if you worked for me and I stopped paying you how long would you contine to work for me?
